1800's Arkansas outlaw Belle Starr , cave and waterfall hideout
Five mile hike into national forest to old outlaw hide , a cave behind a waterfall , has old 1800’s grave nearby.
I live near her home town, Carthage, Mo. Some of her family is buried near here.
There’s one near Wilburton Ok. I live not far from there. I’ve been there many times
Great video. My dad also took me to camp in that cave when I was a kid. I am planning to go find it again. Can you give me pointers how to get there?
You are lucky to be able to visit, what a wonderful place.
would love to meal detect around there specially in the cave.
That’s freakn cool
Don’t suppose you could give some gps coordinates for that place? I’m a photographer and would love to photograph it.
Great video, thanks. Is that anywhere near Pea Ridge?
Nice video!
Love this beautiful cave and the waterfall. Great place to hike to. My cousins told me stories as well about all the times his dad took him and all the brothers out there to go camping and stay for nights at a time up there. If you can tell, my profile pic is a picture I took of the cave.
My great grandfather was John Middleton, who was one of the outlaws that enjoyed Belle’s favors from time to time.
Way to preserve history by trashing it
Love that area. Been to them many many times.
Great video man I’ll tell you another place Ouachita National Forest it’s called flat side Mountain are the old folks used to call it forked Mountain if you know the place you know what I’m talkin about is that cave there used to be Jesse James hideout according to my information he stayed there after robbing the bank an old Austin Arkansas and then he robbed a bank in Hot Springs a really cool place to go explore nature and a little bit of History 2
great film, thanks for giving me a heads up, I would love to walk it, where we live there are a number of box canyons that were used by bad guys, and Natives before them to camp and hold their horses.
My sons great great grandfather was her youngest brother and I know where her old house place in newton county Arkansas
Amazing place, great movie
There was a Country Dance hall in Dallas, Texas named after Belle Star back in the 80’s around Prestonwood that a friend and I frequented back in the day…Nice place but don’t know if it is still in business
That was a good Childhood memory Not for John though lol
This is the best virtual hike I have ever been on! Thanks!
Stay safe and healthy!

She was in searcy county Arkansas I know a man who knew bell star. He actually named his daughter after her .
Watch for bigfoots and dogmen . I have seen 2 sasquatch in that canyon , had rocks thrown at a fully armed unit a few times and I have collected 12 track castings there up to 17 inches long . Laugh if you want but Im not a believer , I am a knower .

Awesome video, thanks for sharing
Belle is my great great grandmother 😁 my grandfather took great pride in being cherokee and being related to the most notorious woman outlaw
any one try a metal detector up there
Gotta love the "fixin’" & "might could" talk.
