This video is all about the 1935 Arkansas Commemorative Half Dollar. Today we are going to be learning the ins and outs of this coin, including its history and the context in which the coin was minted in, its appeal to collectors, and the various values it may have depending on its condition.     Yeah, that "confederate" thing you see on the coin…that’s our state flag. They basically rearranged the old stars and bars into a new config. Funnily enough, Arkansas went from 1868 (readmission to the union) to 1913 without a state flag, but came up with this design when the Battleship USS Arkansas was being built. Apparently, nobody noticed we didn’t have a state flag until then.

    1939 mintages for the Arkasas half for all three mints P,D,S, is 2,100 pieces for each mint INCREDIBLY low mintage if this were a walking liberty half it would literally be tens of thousands of dollars.
