Exploring Nome Alaska: Chased Off By A Drunk Eskimo

Exploring Nome Alaska: Chased Off By A Drunk Eskimo

*There is some cussing in this video* —This is the last of my Alaska Adventure videos. I had a blast and hope you enjoyed a few videos. —-
Join me as I check out downtown Nome Alaska. I was there during the annual summer solstice festival and had a great time. I did get run off of the visitor’s center property by a very drunk and potty-mouthed Eskimo women. She does cuss in the video, so that 20 second segment may not be suitable for everyone. It was pretty funny though.

I was in Fairbanks, Alaska for 3 weeks for a military exercise back in the early to mid 2000’s. It was during their worst forest fires in like 50 years. Most of our daily missions were canceled due to low visibility so every day we got to explore. My friends and I would drive about an hour north to a natural hot springs resort just to get above the smoke layer so we could breathe fresh air. Anyway, one day we couldn’t buy alcohol on base for some reason so we stopped at a bar in the middle of nowhere. It was like a scene from a movie. We walked in and all the locals stopped what they were doing and stared us down. Felt like one of those scenes from Dusk to Dawn Beau is always mentioning. Lol

Just got back from a 2 week Alaska vacation, beautiful country, but the natives are a trip always drunk ,not a stereotype the ones I saw were drunk ,on drugs or bumming the tourists for money

  10. @OldButStillKicking on May 18, 2024 at 11:06 am

Alaska is a beautiful state. It’s heartbreaking to see what alcohol has done. You never shy away from difficult subjects so wasn’t surprised when you included this in the video. And it’s not just alcohol. It’s reported that the most commonly abused substances in Alaska also includes heroin, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, cocaine, and marijuana.
We have to remember that was just a small part of your Alaska adventure. Thanks for the tour and the bad pun re: the birdwatchers flocking! Too much but not unexpected! LOL

Refence of Native Alcohol….video ….depicting Anglo saxon white stereotypes of the disease brought to the land of original inhabinates. Brought to Sitnasuak by the pale skin good old boys.
Get your illness of noticeable one side low blow remarks, researched to make Native look as the biggest problem in your stereotyped documentary. Your disrespect for the truth of problem brought to native lands, and its history. Shows also. A one sided individual.
Making a mockery of….THE NATIVE PEOPLE who you SHOW DISRESPECT OF, AND DIRECTLY, A SLAP IN THE FACES OF LOCALS. WHO LIVE WITHIN THE WORD, SOBERTY. SO MISS INFORMED.

I’ve seen three natives floating in the sea with $60 Walmart kayaks not sitting in them right sitting with their feet dangling out and there’s tennis shoes on 20° weather drinking mouthwash drunk as s*** harpooning seals laughing and mumbling eyes be dick red from the aftershave mouthwash they’ve been drinking. Pretty sure I’m too scared to party with them Jesus

He’s Dion I grew up in Alaska moved there at the age of two in 1969. My parents were both high school teachers at No One belts high school. I was amazed to see 30 years later and nothing has changed. The board of trade bar is still on front Street I have memories growing up, going down to the AC store the Alaska commercial, one of the only or a few stores in town, and there were several known town drunks that just wondered around constantly. It is a sad truth that’s dead on. I remember as a kid we used to run on those big rocks. It’s called the jetty there on the bearing sea, and you’d always see the same town drunk as name as Charlie. It’s really a sad problem there and people do go missing often and it’s always due to alcohol.

As far as alcoholism is concerned, I reference the Bard: Methinks thou dost protest too much. Comb your hair and shave.

  27. @gerbentvandeveen on May 18, 2024 at 11:30 am

That is black water? Build more land! Something everyone over 30 knows. In the Netherlands we have said one. "God created the World! But We made the Netherlands."

  28. @CrimsonSurvival on May 18, 2024 at 11:30 am

Alcoholism is your own fault, don’t blame anyone else for it.

  29. @deathboy126 on May 18, 2024 at 11:35 am

  30. @JaredMuskego4490 on May 18, 2024 at 11:36 am

Ok we get it, were all drunks… last time i checked i work for a living like many of us “drunks” !!

  31. @elizabethgoodrich2620 on May 18, 2024 at 11:37 am

Paddy wagon is racist. Don’t say it. Also, the complex problems of the indigenous people of
Alaska are complex. Alaskan indigenous people went from an ancient, successful culture to the modern world within less than a century. Grandparents and parents that hunted and fished and kept to the old ways are losing children who don’t want to live a subsistence life. It’s a tragedy, not just lazy drunks. DID YOU JUST SAY ESKImo? There is nothing for the kids to do in rural Alaska. That leads to substance abuse. Alaska has the only inhalant abuse detox in the USA. You are focused on the symptom, not the serios upheaval of Native culture by white people. Got damnit!!, Stop calling these beautiful, troubled people “drunken eskimos.”
Go back to the lower 48, Chigger, until you learn to be aware of what’s happened to to original owners of Alaska. Read a book. You’re ignorant and insensitive. That “drunk Eskimo
    Woman” really does hate you.

  32. @Mark-cd3vd on May 18, 2024 at 11:40 am

dont make any difference where you go……alcohol is abused

thanks dude! it was very interesting to watch it from Russia! We live in almost the same city in Russia, it is called Surgut. This is in western Siberia. Little by little I am learning English by following you. all is clear, thank you!

  35. @mikedaigle9781 on May 18, 2024 at 11:42 am

But the bars don’t mind taking there money right? And there’s nobody else getting drunk and getting out of hand right ?? Nice way to single out the indiginous of nome , got my Subs and Likes NOT !! Racist.

Saying hey to Nome! Matt Martin student council president 1981. Go Nanooks!! ✌️

  37. @wizardmallard5465 on May 18, 2024 at 11:47 am

I know the lady who was yelling at you. She’s nice when she’s sober. Everyone makes their own choices in life and some people just can’t cope or something awful happens. Or they make shit choices. Alcohol is a really hard thing to fight if you aren’t taught how to drink or around it in a bad manner your whole life. I feel bad seeing people I know drunk and stammering and face planting but I can only help so much before it’s on whoever won’t stop being wasted.

  38. @BDK-io2ix on May 18, 2024 at 11:48 am

  41. @stephinewest2267 on May 18, 2024 at 11:49 am

I’ve lived in Nome my whole life. That black water was just the city moving sand out of the boat port lol

  42. @gimmethepinkelephant3685 on May 18, 2024 at 11:49 am

Nativism leads to being antisocial at times. And being antisocial can also be a major cause of alcoholism. I’m an alcoholic myself. It’s a rough issue to deal with. But living in a native community would drive me nuts. Having traditions is one thing, we all have them. But nativism also leads to hatred. Because native communities ethnically segregate themselves. And holding onto hatred can lead to drug abuse and alcoholism.

  45. @Shinuchiha_99 on May 18, 2024 at 11:53 am

This happened to me, my dad and mother when we were fishing in the wind river reserve about 3 years ago up in Wyoming.. three drunk local men in their Toyota Tacoma came down to the spillway while we were fishing and started harassing me and my dad and telling us to get tf off their land.. we told them we had every right to be on that land because it wasn’t their tribal land and they had no right to tell other people what to do in a public setting.. all three were drunk and eventually the county sheriff pulled up and arrested all 3 for public intoxication.. they were all from the wind river tribe native Cheyenne technically.. the alcoholism in the native communities across the country is horrible 😢🥃🍸🙈☹️

  46. @0nesinner on May 18, 2024 at 11:53 am

They want to spend the government money on booze? I bet you there’s a lot more white people in Alaska than Eskimos. I’ve watched a lot of your videos and that’s the most fucked-up racist shit I’ve ever heard you say. Perhaps that’s what we should expect from someone from your southern neck of the redneck lands.

  47. @joshuataft5541 on May 18, 2024 at 11:54 am

  48. @TheSuqina on May 18, 2024 at 11:55 am

Oh man…I’d like to see this dickweed in Nome. "They’d rather spend their government money on booze" f****** idiot there’s more natives than the ones on the beach. Talk about our alcohol abuse when your people used it to weaken us and take advantage of us.
