Wreck fishing Florida Keys. If you are a Florida Keys native or a treasure buff, chances are you know all about the stories of 16th century Spanish galleons that shipwrecked and spilled their fortunes across the shallows of the Keys. The most famous treasure story is that of the late Mel Fischer who devoted his life to the search for lost treasure and cashed out big in the end. In this episode, Rush and Ali are wreck fishing secret wrecks in the same waters where the sea claimed so many lives in the past. They meet up with Dan Porter, another modern day treasure hunter and get to see what it takes to hunt treasure aboard his boat, the Sea Reaper. But modern day shipwrecks hold treasure of another type, though just as addicting. Cobia, grouper, snapper and more are the goal and X marks the spot. Ali and Rush use the Sea Reaper as a mother ship from which they explore the wrecks in the area.

Local Knowledge focuses on the differing and often humorous viewpoints of two drastically different fishermen from opposite sides of the country. Ali Hussainy of San Diego, California is the President of BD Outdoors, the largest fishing website on the net. Capt. Rush Maltz is a born & raised Florida Keys fishing guide. Each is a master on their home turf, but the playing fields are leveled as they travel to strange waters to explore and learn new local knowledge.
Follow two friends as they explore both local and exotic fishing destinations in search of a new flavor of local knowledge. They not only dig deep into the fishing aspect, but the food, people and the culture of fishing that permeate a local and make it unique and special. They seek out a new kind of adventure off the beaten path.

Not enough fishing ali this show was like you just needed filler or something , sorry but this normally the best show , but this was something else it didnt even really do it for me

Ali, this is by far the best fishing show I have ever seen. I have now watched every episode twice some three and four times. I just sold my old boat to buy a center console even though I live here in the northwest on the Columbia. Thank you for making this I have learned so much about your fisheries. If you are ever looking to ad a new small element to the show could be a short walk through of the difference between the CA West coast boat Ali has been using vs the Florida center console. Thank you thank you thank you
