Can anyone tell me what a "hand of god" site is? Like what are the characteristics of one? I’ve heard of one in the Franklin mountains here in El paso but i can’t find anything else about it or what describes that type of site. Love these stories man, i listen as im falling asleep all the time.

In the 1980s I hunted for several years on a friend’s ranch on the Oglala Reservation in SD. He was 1/2 Souix. He said his grandfather, a full-blooded Sioux told him of a stagecoach that was robbed by Indians in the area and the people on it killed. He said that there was gold on it, but gold didn’t mean anything to the Indians so they dumped it in a hollow of a tree. I wonder how many other instances of Indians dumping gold there are. I don’t remember if his grandfather was part of the raiding party or just knew who they were.

The history and times when these kinds of situations happened are fascinating . People didn’t trust banks or bankers do you blame them??

Any chance you have any more information on the SC missing moonshiners treasure? I can’t even find anything matching his name. And I live close enough to that area I would love to investigate this further!
