I worked in the real environmental, energy conservation and power development, and water system management fields for over 30 years. This also involved construction of a 28 Megawatt cogeneration power plant. As a scientist/engineer, I can tell you that CC is occurring, but there is no evidence it’s caused by the burning of fossil fuels. The people that push these "renewable energy" projects (largely wind and solar projects) haven’t done the feasibility studies to prove they’re feasible. They’re not feasible for the power needed to run an industrial, modern society. When California was having electrical supply problems, California recently rush built natural gas fired power plants around the state to try and recover from these "renewable energy" projects that don’t supply enough power reliably. Over the last year a 48 Megawatt natural gas fired plant was built in our city as a back-up. The EV push is another boondoggle where they’re trying to force unreliable golf cart style technology on people. Even the Chief Scientist at Toyota has said that EV’s are not feasible for a number of reasons. The truly egregious thing is that EV’s are being charged by power plants that run on fossil fuels. The politicians don’t tell people this "inconvenient truth". I could go on, but there isn’t enough time and space here. The future belongs to fission nuclear power for power generation and hydrogen for transportation. When exactly that will happen is unknown, so oil and gas will continue to be needed for a long time yet to come. Idahoans who are opposing this "green new scam" stuff are doing the right thing. If I were there, I’d do the same.
