The SCARIEST URBAN LEGENDS from every state #1: ALABAMA

The SCARIEST URBAN LEGENDS from every state #1: ALABAMA

Hello hello! America has incredible amounts of local scary stories, haunted roads, murderous hitchhikers, abandoned hospitals, cursed cemeteries, stalker ghosts, demented clowns, carnivorous deer, vengeful grandmas and who knows what else, and every little neighbourhood hides some dirty paranormal laundry. Let’s explore it all, every single state and the best of its spooky legends! Going with the alphabetical order, we’re starting with Alabama – and if you thought there’s nothing there but sweet home and blue skies, you’re wrong. There’s a bridge you’ll never want to cross, a witch, a freaky nook in a local cemetery and a really weird disappearance case. Dig in!

The rumor I heard about the dead children’s playground is that the child fell off the cliff and died there. I live near there, I’ve been there. It’s a nice spot.

I’m from Sweet Water, Alabama. In Marengo County, nothing is really bad here except for the fact that so many people get shot every once in a while.

I live in alabama about an hour from Bham. Ive been to all these places except selma bc I felt it was just a stretched rumor and thats it. Anyway our urban legands are kind of lame in my opinion. I looked them up recently and apparently Five Points Birmingham is a hot spot because of a Fountain called the Storyteller in the center of Five Points in front a Catholic Church that has absolutely nothing to do with sacrilege (google what it looks like) but people think it’s like a devil goat man thing.

Ps: my mommaw used to do the whole hugging Molly thing with me so that I wouldn’t stay out late at night. Only instead of saying " she’ll scream in your ear!" She just told me that she would take me away somewhere. But to where? No one knows oooooooooooo.

Edit: has anyone noticed how Cullman isn’t here..?

You forgot Saraland Alabama urban legend. “There are also some tellings of the story in which the woman gave birth to a child who was quickly drowned in the river. According to these stories the bridge on Kali Oka Road is still haunted by the child, and its screams and cries can be heard to this day, making it one of several supposed "Cry Baby Bridges" in Alabama.”
