I have never believed that the Forest Fenn Treasure was recovered. I believe that Forest Fenn made that up because he passed away a couple months after it was supposedly found. There are a bunch of things that seem kind of shady which how it went down. A couple years ago I made a YouTube video about what I talked about here. In the early 90’s a man invented a car that ran on water vapor and drove it across the entire country.
He sold the patent to a major car manufacturer, They hid it away from the world and porbably destroyed any chance of anyone ever seeing how it was made . To keep them rich and the world reliant on oil.
That man later took a drink out of his refrigerator, swallowed a sip, looked at his brother and said they poisoned me ( something along those lines) and dropped dead .

The pastor that died in this search was my cousin. He claimed it would be the last great adventure he’d get to go on before his ill health took him for good. Me and most of the family never held any ill will towards the the organizers of the search.
I’m confused, it’s called the Eastern Idaho robbery, but occurred in Ada County, which borders Oregon on Idaho’s western border. Maybe the geographical confusion is why no one found the gold.

I know what would give disappointed searchers some closure about someone else finding the treasure: If Stuef would get together with some talented production people and make a documentary about his search and discovery, along with whatever of sharing he’d be willing to do about himself and other people in his life before, during and after the search. Everyone’s got a story, and although he doesn’t "owe" his to anybody, I think it would really soothe the sore folks if they at least got to find the treasure by-proxy. Heck, the video could even include the experiences of some other people who tried! I’ve only been mildly interested in this story, but I’d watch the hell out of a wrap-up documentary about it!

I used to live in Arizona, I could see Superstition Mountain from my patio, people would always get into trouble looking for buried treasure.
From what I understand finding buried treasure in the UK is even worst, like the Crown has an outright claim on all of it in advance…I think you get a nice letter if you turn it in and jail if you don’t.

First one, very possible it was already found and melted down in someone’s backyard crucible. A prepper’s got that stuff stored in a bunker for the zombie apocalypse. Or, yeah, alternatively, black market contacts. It’s not hard to find the Dark Web nowadays.
As long as you can get those serial numbers off, ain’t nobody gonna prove that this specific load of gold you’ve got here is that particular treasure which this insurer paid for.

The only gold found near the superstition mnts have been near apache junction where there a few gold mines. And geologists said the sups don’t have the right history for gold
Also Forest Fenn was a documented Indian grave robber, and selling items to Europe. The sad thing is the law doesn’t apply to private land and such.
"Marauding Apaches" instead of that, how about something closer to the truth and call them freedom fighters defending their land and lives. Phrases like the above just back up the white washed BS that passes as American history instead of telling the truth about the country and how it was stolen.
