  3. @Will-jm2cc on September 22, 2024 at 6:39 pm

I first had the chicken and rice at their original location by Hawaiian Bryan’s. I also went to their food truck located before Longs Drugs Moiliili (University) and it’s as good as when I first ate it. Awesome choice!

  4. @Erhnam_Djinn on September 22, 2024 at 6:40 pm

Chef Bao Bae was awesome! She should make a bao inspired by Girl Scout Tagalongs, the chocolate and peanut butter cookies.

  5. @kivlogs7812 on September 22, 2024 at 6:41 pm

When I go to any Vietnamese Restaurant with my husband, we usually go for the Pho. Next time, I’m definitely trying a banh mi! You guys always make everything so good 😉👍 Loved loved the dessert segment! I wanna try some cheesecake baos! Great video guys!!!

  8. @denis65 on September 22, 2024 at 6:44 pm

Aji amarillo!! That’s the yellow pepper paste. It’s delicious! I love Peruvian roast chicken. There’s a place in Lima that I always go to called Villa Chicken to eat it. It comes with french fries traditionally, not rice though

  9. @wendelld808 on September 22, 2024 at 6:45 pm

We have fusion Peruvian Chinese as well as Peruvian Japanese restaurants here in LA that you will have to try when you come!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The ube bao looks soooooo good. We will be home in Oahu, coming from Texas. You guys want something from here? Texas has lots of great foodie places to go! Let me know before June 20th! 🙃🙂

I did go to the Japanese place on the second floor but I need to try the Banh Mi! The Nao looked so onolious! 😋

  22. @BillCarlson on September 22, 2024 at 7:01 pm

Just wanted to say Hello! I have been watching Tabi Eats for a long time, and they mentioned they were doing a collab with you, so I’ve watched a couple of your videos of the last couple of days. My wife and I got married on Oahu at Makapu’u Beach and (except during COVID) go back for our anniversary every year. Your videos really take me back and remind me what we’ve been missing these past couple of years!! Mahalo!

  23. @AussieAngeS on September 22, 2024 at 7:02 pm

Those Bao’s look so awesome 😍 and I love Banh Mi sandwiches they’re so so delicious

  24. @harrymiram6621 on September 22, 2024 at 7:02 pm

Supposedly, Peru has the largest Japanese immigrant populace Outside of Nippon, so am guessing that’s where the Oriental/Japanese influence stems from. Rico Rico’s looks interesting! Gotta remember to drop in, next time am down Mo’ili’ili/Ala Moana area. Being that it’s mobile, is he around any other areas, when/what time?

  25. @mariacatherman3416 on September 22, 2024 at 7:04 pm

Another great episode, mahalo! The crunch on the Banh mi had me hooked. Love great bread. Thanks for introducing us to Chef Baobae! We will have to check her out since she’s local to us.

  26. @spang9782 on September 22, 2024 at 7:05 pm

Gotta check out that 808 Center! My barber is actually across the street near Million Restaurant. I always pass it but have never gone into it. Lots of good places I hear! Hey, also heard you guys are doing a meet up with Shinichi and Satoshi. Can’t wait for that video!

  27. @matthewarine1231 on September 22, 2024 at 7:05 pm

I eat at Ricos every other week. Glad u guys found them. Gotta get extra sauce i always run out

  28. @CCZor on September 22, 2024 at 7:06 pm

I am traveling next week to Oahu (making a list of places to go based on your channel) and I was surprised to see Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken featured! I am Peruvian and this chicken is a staple everywhere. Peruvian food is excellent and we have such an extensive variety of dishes thanks to influences from the many people that arrived to Peru (we even have a whole Chinese-Peruvian fusion called Chifa and Japanese-Peruvian fusion called Nike cuisines.) Yeah, the yellow pepper sauce is good and a staple also, there are even spicier sauces (green & red sauces)

  29. @lauriedwonch1679 on September 22, 2024 at 7:07 pm

Hi guys , Just got back and watched the vlog 👍👍👍 Sharon and I went to some of the places you featured to eat “ono” foods …. Yummy 😋 🤩🎇
Now it’s back to reality lol ❤

  30. @MikeCanuck on September 22, 2024 at 7:07 pm

Your friend Britney is adorable! I checked out her instagram, and her food looks amazing! If she moved back to Hawaii and opened a food location, I could see it becoming a must visit once the word got out. Hopefully you two will be able to make it to LA one day and meet up with her again. 😋

  31. @kilisosilly on September 22, 2024 at 7:08 pm

Always drive pass that little food truck when I’m in McCully. Thanks to you guys, I know what it is now lol. Gonna go give it a try 🤙🏾

Great video. Do they have beef or more specifically tripe options for Banh Mi? Great channel/content. Mahalo nui!

  36. @robertlittlejohn5470 on September 22, 2024 at 7:19 pm

Hey Amanda and Felix! We really enjoyed this video. Everything looked so ono. We’ve never tried Peruvian Rotisserie chicken before but we’re going to get some at a fast food place by where we live. Amanda, did I hear you right that you and your friend went to Kalani. My wife, Mary, graduated from Kalani 1966 and I graduated 1968. Anyway, keep the awesome videos coming. We always look forward to seeing them. We send you all of our love and Aloha. 💙🤙💖

  37. @theaouch4749 on September 22, 2024 at 7:19 pm

Aloha can you two find me a gf in Hawaii?

  38. @harleydy on September 22, 2024 at 7:20 pm

As great as the cheesecake baos look, I want to try her pan fried soup dumplings! I’m glad the corporate world didn’t suck in the Dumpling Queen! I had vietnamese coffee from Madame Saigon at Ala’s today. I absolutely loved it!!! Is it legit?

  39. @Puna_G on September 22, 2024 at 7:20 pm

The bahn mi looks good, and that crunch!! Would go perfect with a big bowl pho on a cold day.

  40. @robertleslie2467 on September 22, 2024 at 7:21 pm

Aloha y’all! Bangin’ Banh mi’s and Peruvian chicken. Definitely aji amarillo chile sauce. Ono grindz all day long! Super shaka’s and mahalo y’all!

  41. @KuruptViet on September 22, 2024 at 7:21 pm

Rico Rico used to have a brick and mortar spot right across the street where kahai street kitchen is now. My go to was the 1/4 chicken and kale salad. But looks like they don’t 1/4 chicken and kale salad anymore.

  42. @jennielaguana3452 on September 22, 2024 at 7:27 pm

🥰Love this video once again! Bahn Mi traditional style is my favorite with the pâté, lots of cilantro and peppers.😋 You guys make everything look delicious! Those baos looked good too! 👍🏼Will definitely check out “chefbaobae”! She is a sweetie! 💕Amanda, my favorite parts are the drumstick and the wings!❤️

  43. @redwingsfan713 on September 22, 2024 at 7:27 pm

  47. @paulafriedmanalohafrommaryland on September 22, 2024 at 7:31 pm

Aloha Amanda & Felix. So happy to hear about a banh mi place that serves vegetarian banh mi sandwiches, that is awesome. Those cheesecake bao’s are the die for with how they looked, does she do mail order? The Peruvian chicken, did it by any chance have a little bit of cinnamon taste to it? Reason I ask is that near where I live there are a couple of Peruvian Chicken places and the chicken is so delicious, it has a slight taste of cinnamon to it. Mahalo for showing all of these terrific hidden gems.

  48. @dawnm.tamarra1928 on September 22, 2024 at 7:32 pm

Ok he liked the chicken every time Felix says “oh man “ he likes the food..🥰🥰🥰
