Lost Gold Mine Found Hidden In A Gossanous Outcrop On The River!
Lost Gold Mine Found Hidden In A Gossanous Outcrop On The River!
We found this lost gold mine hidden in a mineralized gossanous outcrop on the river. The mine produced some high grade gold and silver ore as well as good grades of base metals. The mine adit is small and is associated with other similar high grade gold deposits on the property with VMS hosted in volcanics and siliceous rock. We found some high grade gold ore with free mill gold on the trip and got to see some hictoric gold mine workings on the way.

Where are you? I like checking out the old mines here in the California and nevada deserts
Amazing mineral knowledge ! I’m sure alot of old time miners didn’t know exactly what they had !
Thanks for taking us along !
I love finding old mysterious stuff in the woods, just like those old stone cubes. And, of course, interesting minerals
Very cool stuff
May U find the MuthaLoad
That’s argillic to intermediate argillic with oxidized sulfides… that will yield 0.3 g/t au, 1 g/t Ag… hehe.. i missed the days exploring southwest breccia in Lobo Philippines.
Enjoyed watching your video!๐
Me nais Arabic
Could you give me the exact coordinates for this spot ๐
Awesome!
Awesome knowledge, sweet find! Thanks for sharing bro. Subbed!
I do believe that’s a prospect, not a mine. They dig a tunnel into the vein so they can access material beneath the oxidized surface zone. Some rich strikes have been found that way from veins that were barren on the surface. Looks to me like that one didn’t pan out.
i like slappin folks…
My wife would make me drag a chunk of that track out for the flower garden, keep this spot secret lol
The host rock looks like Limestone to me. I used to work in a Limestone quarry here in Oklahoma and I found Iron Pyrite and kept it.
Great video J1andJ2 beautiful area to prospect. Thanks again
๐ฒ๐ฆ ๐ฒ thank you for sharing your video stay safe healthy and happy out there today๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ฒ
@6:31 in the video pause it. Can you tell me what that rock with the Square shape in the the grouted grey stone is? I thought you would pick it up. Will keep watching to see if you do. Thanks
Must be a real pain trying to see anything under all of those organics. Much easier in the Nevada desert where everything is exposed.
How did they process the ore to get all of the different minerals out?
Gorgeous spot too! Nice one mates
Imagine what you could see after the area is burnt.
Hey bud… your video is titled "lost gold mine found…." yet with 1 minute left in your video i had to stop video and make this comment. we didnt watch your video to listen to a geology lesson or find out how much you know about rocks. what a waste of time. im sure whoever is out there with you is thinking put the phone down and look for the damn mine. why do you feel compelled to tell about rocks. nobody cares about the types of rocks and its oxidation. you must already know that though because you had to title your video in such a way to get people watch you talk about rocks. NOBODY CARES about them rocks or how much you know about rocks. learn to title your videos.
Thanks for the journey and views. The education for my retirement (I’ll see you out there one day lol!), is happening on your channel. Cheers!
Our Gold Club finds areas w mineralization, around our Cargo’M Mnts. Gold dust is captured by dry washers & only .1-.3/grams, in 20 buckets’ worth, + rarely a .1 speck w my Gold Bug2..๐ฅ
Great video and info

Nice explore and find! Going to go back in someday?
interesting video, would like to see them specimens with a magnified glass over them.
Nice
more pyrite ๐
Just started watching. Sorry if I missed this information somewhere but what state is this in?
Where was this at? North Idaho somewhere?
I watch your videos in 4k on a big screen and am still blown away at how fast you can identify things by eye. Super cool, interesting videos, thank you for all the great content! ๐
I’ve said this before, but I’m so very, very jealous that you live somewhere with such readily discoverable mineral resources. Where I live in southern California, everything is sandstone with a very few minor volcanic features, such as the obsidian outcrop on my neighbor’s family’s ranch about 20 miles away.
Old workings are always interesting … Gold to Ya !

J1/2 encounter the ghosts of old prospectors and miners who were unsuccessful since they didn’t have the expertise of J1/2.
