Well, Gold Rush’s first season was called Gold Rush: Alaska. After that, it was just called “Gold Rush” for the rest of the seasons.

Gold Rush is a reality TV show with an adventure theme that airs on Discovery and other Discovery-related stations around the world. Mostly in the Klondike region of Dawson City, Yukon, Canada, and in the U.S. state of Alaska, the show follows the daily work of family-run gold farms. It is now in its 12th season, which began in early 2021. Previous seasons have also shown mining attempts in South America and western North America.
