A few years ago (We live on Kauai), there was a FALSE NUKE ATTACK ON OUR PHONES. And, the sirens went off and scared the living daylights out of us. So NOW, there seems to be a recognizable lack of proper attention to the rigor obviously required, so that the lack-of, –or overdone, "alarm" system(s) do not "hang loose". Not a little, not a lot, real accountability, just like the real life things that happen, when we over relax actual responsibilities that some actual persons get PAID to assure and deliver us with. THAT is not "Aloha."

It would be interesting to know how First Hawaiian’s loan portfolio is affected: mortgages, business loans, credit card debt. etc. will all suffer

Wasn’t First Hawaiian Bank was founded by Bishop and Co? Isn’t it inseparable from the Bishop Estates and the Kam school? Isn’t Kam school and Bishop Estates the largest private owner of land lease and bond in Lahaina? Isn’t Kam school worth $12billion taking in $200million annually? Isn’t the majority of their gross rev from tax payer subsidized benefits and grants and tax breaks?
