We went to Hotsprings Arkansas!So much more than what we knew… #hotspringsnationalpark #hotsprings

When we were in Arkansas we decided to go to Hot Springs National Park just to get it ‘checked off the list’ we were not expecting much but BOY we were surprised at all the things we learned. For example Hot Springs was a protected area (reservation) before Yellowstone. That there are fountains that people can come and fill up with the water from the springs, for FREE. That though in the middle of a busy city the intent is still to preserve the hot springs and study the unique geology that makes them possible. As an added aside you can travel back in time and see how the bath houses operated nearly a century ago. There is so much more but we only had an afternoon and I was wearing flip-flops.
