I was at a northern mountain beside a river in georgia a few years back and found so many of these crevices with tons of giant flakes & pickers, and the gravels had so many different garnets it was awesome, I wish I could tell you where it was so you could check it out but I have no clue anymore. It was a 20 minute walk down a few hills and along the river/creek, but it was so worth it.

Great Mother of Gold we have a picker. A battery operated wet vacuum would work great too clean the crevices out and just dump and pan.
