I looked up Dr. Thatchers Liver Pills and it’s pretty interesting. The university of Tennessee had a fair amount of information as well as another website. He was deemed a quack and put out of business. The syrup was 12% alcohol. I swear 100 years ago these snake oils sold so well because polite people could nip off from their syrup, without anyone thinking they were alcoholics. My dad dug an outhouse and it was nothing but old vanilla bottles. I’m guessing the lady of the home had a bit of a drinking problem she was hiding. Funny to think 100 years later, we literally dug up her secret.

That was an 8 Track cassette.
They sure were a pain in the butt! Then came the tape cassette, smaller & more compact.. then came cd’s. Cd’s are becoming a thing if the past too, as streaming music online.

I’ve been finding old bottles not in the water, but in family dumps on properties. It’s been well over 48 years, and I don’t sell them, or even know what value they have. My town was settled in 1705 here in New England, but the work that they did just amazes me to this day. I enjoy your channel, and you do find beautiful bottles.
Edit: I also find native American Indian stone head spears. (Arrow heads) I have also collected them since I was a kid in the 1960s i have dozens of them.
I remember when I was young we played with marborls and each type where named like the cats eye, lol😊

Love watching your videos! I had a thought when you pulled out the neck of the Jack Daniels whisky bottle. If you remove the flared bottom of the piece, mount it to something, I think it would make a very interesting candle holder.
Very fun! I wish there was a spot like that near me. Our streams in southern Minnesota tend to have muddy bottoms and not great visibility.
