The island featured in this episode is Cayo Diablo, part of a protected marine reserve called La Cordillera Reef Nature Reserve. It is not a deserted island—it’s home to fragile ecosystems, including coral reefs, protected marine life, and the endangered Virgin Islands boa, which lays its eggs in that exact terrain.
What was shown in this video—walking over vegetation, setting up BBQs, bringing in plastic bags and coolers, and disturbing the reef—goes against the environmental regulations of this area.
