The treasure if any would not be buried in the ground it is too hard to dig a hole too many rocks. I know I am from this area. It would be more likely stashed on a rocky ridge under some large rocks.

I live on some land that the doans lived on at one point, down the road from me is their parents house creepy place. Up the road from me also is a cave that they hid and lived in for a bit. I do know from original farmers that first hand told from family to family anyone who get close to the treasure people suddenly just die.

Just found your channel and loving it! Thanks for sharing the history! I live in Catawissa, Columbia County.

    Some interesting things near here:
Abandoned Reading Railroad bridge over Susquehanna (privately owned)

Abandoned RR tunnel near Shumans (State Game Land)

Catawissa Valve Company, produced valves for WW2 submarines, and minor parts for Manhatten Project

    Hooded grave of Sarah Boone

Your not allowed to remove any plants, rocks or artifacts from state property, check with your local state park office.
Interesting topic though looking forward for some more videos.

  33. babyrazor on October 30, 2022 at 7:38 am

At last a Doan gang video. Though siding with the crown they were just thieves and murderers in general. Some of the gang were killed, some escaped and some were pardoned. If there was any buried treasure it would be hard to believe any survivors would not have returned for it, but you never know. an excellent article on the gang is http://haygenealogy.com/hay/sources/gibson/doans.html and HEY! DON’T FORGET YOUR TICK SPRAY WHILE YOUR SEARCHING!! There is a new brain swelling tick virus, as if Lyme disease isn’t bad enough, whose epicenter is Bucks county. Good Hunting!

I’ve read about it being buried up on the mountain there. However, in 2018 I came to believe that is wrong. I think your on the wrong side of the tracks

Yeah I’m from Bucks County and I wouldn’t mind coming up there maybe even meeting up with you to try and do a small hunt for that treasure I have what’s called a long-range locator which is a type of metal detector and I would love to go up there and run that metal detector to see what I can find it has a range of over 4000 ft and depth of 82 ft get back to me and maybe we can hook up and go see if we can’t find it

  40. william beers on October 30, 2022 at 7:59 am

have done fair amount research .. look up pa historical recovery service on facebook .. doan gang brothers lived right up the street from us in bucks county .. we have metal detected many of their know sites with permission from the homeowners ..

  46. Billlovelace4171951 on October 30, 2022 at 8:08 am

I guess the key to this is finding where Indian Gap was.
    Your videos are great 👍

  47. Cherri Kinney on October 30, 2022 at 8:09 am

Part of my ancestors were Torries. In my family’s case my ancestor was the second grandson to an English Lord. He was loyal to his English family. He also believed America was apart of England. Men who fought for the rebels were considered English traitors. So, he and his sons fought with the English. It’s funny how complicated history is.
