Metal Detecting search for Ghost Town Lost Church in Alabama
Metal Detecting search for Ghost Town Lost Church in Alabama. We took our Metal Detectors in search of old coins, relics, and artifacts related to a lost ghost town in the backwoods of Alabama. The community disappeared around the 1930s in North East Alabama. All that is left is a small cemetery / graveyard that was actually listed as the wrong name on modern maps. Through a lot of research and genealogy records, Kelly was able to uncover the likely location. While exploring we found some artifacts related to the residents of the area and plan to return soon for more digs. If you enjoy History, Metal Detecting, antiques, or just adventure / exploring, or maybe you want to learn how to start metal detecting, join us on a hot Alabama summer day to see what buried lost treasure we will uncover. We used the Minelab Equinox 800 and XP Deus metal detectors on this trip. If you are wanting to learn how to start metal detecting you will be able to learn tips and tricks that we use to locate old buildings and houses lost to history.

Tiki torch can. Circa 1990s
Possible top to a 1 gallon kerosene can.

I am a beginner at metal detecting. I got a metal detector off of Amazon to start out with. Many people have suggested I get a Garrett but boy are they expensive 😕. I love metal detecting but I can’t afford those prices.
