Metal Detecting for gold near Boise Idaho using a Minelab Gold Monster 1000. Gold Nuggets found cave
No not A new seam of Gem Quality Ocean Picture Stone found! But I was looking for some stolen loot that was said to be lost in a short distance. I used a Mine Lab Gold Monster 1000 to find lots of big gold nuggets. First time finding a gold nugget on camera. Also, show some artifacts that were found around Idaho.
Are you still in Idaho I have some acreage that has been in my family since before the great depression with multiple homesteads sites over the years. My Great Great Aunt told me during the great depression they hid previous metals and coins in jars around the property before my uncle’s were sent off to war my 3 aunt’s never left the property and one lives to be well over 100 yrs old and would tell me about the old Japanese farmer that owned the property next doorhe has now passed away and land was sold but he did the same thing and buried a bunch of gold and coins and told her exactly where they were in case he ever died she could have them. It would be interesting to see what a metal detector could find on this property.
Not entirely sure of location but iirc from geology reports of the area. A vent beleaved to be up grimes creek erupted basalt lava that filled the existing Valleys and backed up a lake in the idaho city area. The lava would bury the esing channel and later Moores creek and grimes creek eroaded down again often to one side because the basalt was fairly resistant. In places the new creek would cut to below the base of the lava flow and expose the old gravel. With its covering of basalt forming a roof. By digging out the old street bed you have a underground alluvial mine. There is one at a pull off just half a mile above where you drop into almost the bottom of Moores creek after being on the high bench that is reached when you cross the bridge over the resivore . It’s been timbered and spam a much visited spot. As for your cave the basalt columns got there cracks as they cooled and while your likely right that there is danger of rock fall I would likely trust most of the rock except at the mouth where each colume have less than a full circle butressing them
Colter very interesting video 🤨
I’ve drove this a hundred times or more.. I did not know the Stage Coach story.. very nice research work sir!
I stopped and prospected this site twice, I was alone as usual and fully chicken to go inside the cave/mine area you found.. it looked Super Sketchy to me! The gravel conglomerate definitely has gold.. as you know.. I lacked the courage to go inside! Not you.. you crazy man!
You apparently have the appropriate cojones!
Be careful dear sir.
This Golden Sketchy Chicken does not like funerals!
Safe travels and safe prospecting my brother!
Thanks for your risky video management video! 😂

Is that a public mining spot that anyone can come and Pan and metal detect?
Luck? I told one of my friends.. I don’t believe in Luck!
My friend replied and said:

Never rub an old coin with your fingers.. Soak in water… Can tell you’re inexperienced.
22 shells always get me I always dig them they look and sound like a good Target
Rad bro! I met you at the gold show a few years ago and I have my little magnet fidget spinner I bought from you I love it. Cool stuff man
Crazy you found a nugget in classified material that is 1/4 inch material and larger when that nugget obviously would have made it through the classifier lol
What part of Grimes Creek were you on I’d like to go metal detect in that area I’m always up there prospecting looking for gold
Nice bro I’m tuning in now I’ve been waiting for this you’re so cool you’re now like a superhero yeah you’re basically a superhero now

Niiiice! Congrats on your first metal detected gold! Making it look easy!
Cool video!
Fyi…
The SL 42 head stamp on your 50 caliber Browning machine gun case signifies it was made at the St. Louis Ordinance plant in 1942
Never know what your going to find while metal detecting =) I myself would have collected all the aluminum I could have to melt at a later date =)
Always dig targets is what I have learned from watching other people. Just because it doesn’t show as gold doesn’t mean it’s not. =)
Awesome gold finds in that area. I will have to hit you up and go Prospecting or something if I make it back to ID lol
