Rhode Island is home to thousands of historic cemeteries, many of which haven’t seen the light of day in years.
That’s awesome. I came across an overgrown plot with ancient looking headstones back in my adventurous 20’s, on the Van Buren Estate at the Grey Craig in Middletown. Didn’t see any historical or preservation society signs. The family owned company I worked for had property bordering the estate and the paths on the bird sanctuary so one lunch break I took a stroll. Looked like no one had been there for decades.
