What Really Happened in Portlock, Alaska?

Residents of Portlock, Alaska all abandoned the town after a string of deaths in the 1940s. Rumours of a strange creature abound – oh no!

I enjoyed archive 81 but I’ll going to disappoint you. They aren’t doing a second season. Sorry.

I propose ‘forest camels’ as the plural for moose.

Simon, today YOU learn! Fishes in actually a real and usable word – it is distinct from fish (pl) because fish (pl) means multiple of the SAME KIND of fish, whereas fishes means multiple kinds of fish. 😀 (my dad is a marine biologist!)

I watched the show. In the 1st couple of episodes it seemed to be a documentary then it did a full 180 and was full on made up B.S with mediums ect. Got very funny.

Yeah, "researchers" who just Google something and can’t be arsed finding the actual records from the time, I hate those too, Mr Does-Seven-Of-These-Videos-A-Day.

I’ve known about ligers for many many years they are not able to breed also they don’t live for fifty years and they are normally very gentle which is why they are in the zoo. Also no known lion has been in North America since the biggest cat in the world the cave-lion existed

Preacher I knew when I was younger before his death. He had to crawl through the windows to wake me m why and my newborn daughter’s up when I was 18 when she was 16. We have already went to sleep and could not hear the outside world so we were all very clearly carbon monoxide poisoning. And although entertain all options not one either me or my wife reported seeing things. Such as floating disembodied spirits or anything like that so carbon monoxide is not the answer to ghosts. Not to mention many of them are photographed and you cannot photograph a hallucination. And as far as the picture goes experts can pick out if it has been CGI. The reason I am working all of this out is there are true mysteries in this world of which there is no explanation. Anybody that don’t believe that look at David polides strangest disappearances and you will find things that have no rational explanation.

This video is such a giant waste of time. He’s just reading a script someone else wrote, and clearly hasn’t even heard of this before. He has no idea what he’s on about, and disregards all the stuff that obviously would be drawing interest in this event. "Bigfoot? Ghosts? What a load of old tosh. Here’s my Starbucks cup!!" What an annoying smarmy git

That phone rang and it immediately jumped into an ad for pizza that began with a phone ringing and I genuinely could not tell if it was a gag or an ad until well into the commercial.

You need to read on the cannery was doing very well when they abandoned the town. Many of the old-timers said they left because people were finding body parts on a daily basis. And before anyone says it could have been murdered it would have to be a platoon of murderers. Which it seems more likely that there was a creature doing that than a platoon of murderers I mean that’s ridiculous. Anyone that leaves the history of fort Lauderdale will find that the cannery was in full production when the people left.

One thing i’ve noticed about the Alaska Triangle is that are just happens to correlate with the part of the State where there are the only roads in the State so of course you won’t hear about people disappearing from the non triangle parts because, aside from some isolated native villages there are no people there.

Simon just cannot resist asides and sidetracking! These must double the length of the video. But they are quite amusing sometimes. Then his question is immediately answered by the script!

I like watching your shows across your different channels I I think yeah bring something to the table just for entertainment and you know kind of a real time critique of some weird shit. I’ve never heard either. That’s awesome but I like this one. I don’t know where there is because you have a Starbucks coffee or what but I’m telling you at you seem very much more human right in this video. I like it a lot I’m not all done yet but I’m gonna finish.

A Liger is a child of male tiger and a female lion. The other way round is called a Tigon. Both are unheard of in nature simply because tigers and lions don’t live near each other. It’s thought to be something to do with growth-limiting genes being on the opposite sexes of the two species, though it’s not completely figured out yet, so Ligers just grow and grow.

In reputable zoos, they occasionally occur by accident when some amourous tiger-daddy manages to get close to a female lion, but no decent zoo will breed them deliberately. But some zoos do. People protest because these creatures are just not meant to be, and suffer health problems because of it.

Male ligers are all sterile, as are male tigons, which is a shame cos I want to see what happens when you breed a tigon with a liger, do you get a lion and tiger that are twins? But it will apparently never happen. Sometimes female liger / tigons have bred with lions though, showing the females are fertile.

No ghosts but… there are demons. Don’t know if that is more or less comforting. Just be aware.

    Fishes:
An acceptable term for talking about multiple species of fish in one location.

Simon, I think there is something VERY wrong with youtube and you might want to look into it. I was watching a channel the other day and you weren’t on it at all. I was quite concerned and so I watched a video on a different channel and could not find you there either. Apparently there are channels on youtube that have videos you’re not in. Please investigate this immediately as this is rather disconcerting.

Ghost Town Living is in Cerro Gordo, California

  38. Daniel Webster on March 17, 2023 at 10:55 am

The postmaster had stayed there much longer than other people and as I have stated before he said he saw these creatures beating their chests and actually growling at him but they didn’t leave the woods. When people started dying it’s because they went in the woods there were so many loggers that disappeared they were finding body parts on a daily basis

  39. The Bearded Kemosabe on March 17, 2023 at 10:57 am

The mine channel is in Southern California actually. It’s the Cerro Gordo Mine and it’s the reason we have Los Angeles. The port was created to sell the silver. The channel is him exploring the mines down to the 900ft level and rebuilding the town and exploring. Super awesome if you love history and adventure. @ghosttownliving

I have watched this show, it’s hilariously bad. The seasons flip around a bunch during the episodes, think green grass to snow and back again, and it is claimed that it is the same day.

I live in Alaska, our weather does not work that way.

A mutant wolf could not be the answer unless that creature stood on two legs and had hands. I mean unless you want to believe in werewolves and think it’s more believable than us that’s what I guess whatever your opinion is. Something with hands that is incredibly strong that was able to rip body parts on which a wolf cannot do even a bear cannot do that. Also whether it was a wolf on two legs or four there would be signs of toenails same thing with bears. I mean there is a true mystery there how many people go off hunting in Wyoming and then their body parts are found everywhere. People disappear everywhere but usually there’s no body parts found and there was a survivor that says it was a Large hairy biped. Also people that saw them distance said it was about 10 that’s why I’m saying if it was a wolf it would have to be a werewolf. I mean there was some the facts and pants in the Continental 48 states where body parts were ripped off including one with four strong men and one survivor. And the survivors said that it looks like a large wolf but it is interesting to note that he also said it was a biped the Ford ranger balls told his employees to fill out a report saying it was a bear attack. His employees said it was not a bear though. The boss said no it was not but if you want to keep your job you will say it was. He said people over my head are making the rules. The sheriff actually stated that no bear or mutant wolf on two legs with hands can rip people apart. Also import lost none of their buddies at you marks on them wish they would have had if it was a wild mutant animal. Both bears and wolves kill by Teeth although bear’s skin ripped with their nails and it would lead nasty wounds it will not detach a head or arms.
