I’ve been researching this for some time. Great presentation on the treasure! It’s almost time to dust-off my detector for 2023. But, if the treasure is in a cave, I’ll stay poor…clostrophobic, can’t do caves! Seriously, even if the soldiers handed me the map, I’m staying on the surface! 😂
I really don’t think it’s in a cave. I think they buried it in the dirt and the sheer weight of the booty, along with the passage of time, have likely caused it to settle, well beyond the depth of a standard detector.
I’m in Northwestern Ohio BTW.
