We just got back from the South Umpqua river camping and rockhounding. Amazing stuff up river there.
i don’t feel so bad now. i was picking up material exactly like this in southern Utah a couple weeks ago. they can make interesting cabs for pendants.

What area in eastern Oregon are you rock hounding? I live in Eastern oregon and thinking about giving it a try.
Never know what a road cut will expose if safe enough good place to take a look. When is it time to empty your pockets? You have cargo pants pockets getting full and you are wearing a belt AND suspenders – you had to adjust suspenders to hold your pants up. 😄 I try to carry a lightweight knit hemp bag with me when I investigate areas. It stretches out quite a bit too, dunk it in water n shake to clean off the rocks, hang to dry and contain the stones. Thank you for sharing Nate! Cool idea with the sticker and leaving samples!

Nate, I haven’t laughed that hard in awhile. The comment about someone finding you drooling over druzy crystals and shiny objects, dehydrated and babbling about a quest. LOLOLOLOL. Makes my rockhounding seem normal as comments from people like my MOTHER telling me I’m a hoarder, don’t sting as much 😉 Thank you again sir.
