The Gold of Leon Trabuco Treasure Legends Of New Mexico

Leon Trabuco hid 16 tons of gold in the New Mexico desert. Speculating on gold during the Great Depression, Leon Trabuco and several other Mexican millionaires conspired to smuggle gold into the US and wait for the Depression to drive gold prices to unknown heights. When the Gold Act of of January 1934 declared that provate ownership of gold was prohibited, Trabuco’s Gold plan was thwarted. Before a plan to retrieve the gold was put in place the conspirators were all dead. Did Trubuco have them killed? Trubuco eventually died taking the location of his gold cache with him…
