I feel like, on the days that Simon records these videos, someone swaps his ADD medication with TicTacs.. lol

13:00: It would be very odd for Templars to think a random mumified head was Christ’s since they held he was resurrected: there shouldn’t be any earthly remains (other than the holy foreskin… long story).

Also maybe the real treasure was the friends we made along the way.

  3. Theturtleowl on July 4, 2023 at 9:11 am

There were so many opportunities to sing the Secret Tunnel song in this video, and I am sad it was not edited in.

  4. Keso_de_bola917 on July 4, 2023 at 9:13 am

Simon’s tangents are the things we live for. 🤣🤣🤣

  5. Kathryn Ronnenberg on July 4, 2023 at 9:14 am

The Templars could add time travel to their mystical skills if their treasure included the jewels of Marie Antoinette, who post-dates the order by centuries.

  6. Tremor Boria on July 4, 2023 at 9:14 am

"WE’RE sitting here talking about how much WE could sell the head of Jesus for." NO my friend WE are sitting here listening to YOU talk about how much YOU could sell the head of Jesus for. Mortified, RIVETED, But Mortified… 😂

  7. Suzy Womelsdorff on July 4, 2023 at 9:16 am

Careful Simon, you’re messing with your OBE.😂😂

  8. True on July 4, 2023 at 9:17 am

Remember the good old days when the shows were about facts? Not 20 mins of petty attempts at jokes….

  9. Robert Carter on July 4, 2023 at 9:21 am

Simon if you bother do I actually read the Bible nowhere does it say you get to Heaven by tithing money…. it says you get to heaven by actually believing in Jesus as your Lord and Savior money has nothing to do with that money it’s just something you do to help prove your piety… But it doesn’t get you in to heaven and no where in the Bible does it say that

  10. Robert Carter on July 4, 2023 at 9:22 am

you really need to rain in your smart ass remarks when it comes to Christianity… You were talking about the Templars rise in money and said it’s not because of some potion they found underground… Nowhere nowhere in the story so far talked about magical potions… Treasure is the word that’s used in nowhere in real life anywhere in the last 2000 years does somebody refer to magical potions when they’re using the word treasure… So you really really need to rain in your sarcasm and it comes to Christianity.

It’s a shame because the topics are really interesting but it’s so difficult to follow with all of the tangents. Would be great to have versions with them edited out.

  12. Tim Newcomb on July 4, 2023 at 9:23 am

I like the side comments/tangents Simon gets on

Christian Churches in the US will have trips to Israel. My Church is doing it in 2024. It is expensive for a complete tour with guides and hotels. Most people who are of child rearing age do not have the money to fork over (two to four thousand $$$) And people who can easily go would not go on a tour bus. So Retirees it is.

  18. Mark Halver on July 4, 2023 at 9:31 am

4:21 Simon talks about ‘eventually getting old and forgetful’, 5:21 Simon remembers he forgets if he finished his old person story. Just saying.

  19. Noah Stephens on July 4, 2023 at 9:33 am

I would 100 percent sell the head of Jesus.

  20. Lucas Tudor on July 4, 2023 at 9:37 am

Just so you know Rosslyn is in Arlington, VA not in DC. To be fair its 1 mile from DC, half of that mile is the Key bridge. Also even most of the people that live in the DMV tell out of towners when they ask where they live that they live in DC. You do have live live in a city that borders it. Thats the rules. Maryland is even funnier, if you live on the NSA headquarters side of Laurel then you "live in Baltimore" but if you live on the NASA campus side of Laurel then you "live in DC. What was I talking about? Whoops, sorry for the Simon level tangent.

  21. João Henrique Da Silva Nunes Jales Ribeiro on July 4, 2023 at 9:37 am

Yep, this is truly speculating on the speculated speculations that themselves where originally speculating about what was speculated on speculations regarding the templar original speculation on speculating on their speculated wealth. Not sure I got deep enough on the speculation speculative hierarchic tree, can you let me know if I missed any levels of speculative depth by speculating on the speculations?

Script: The ~treasure~ was so valuable they had to get it as far as possible from Europe, so they sailed it to the Americas.

Me: Ah yes, too valuable to keep in Europe, so they naturally risked it *sinking* *to* *the* *bottom* *of* *the* *ocean.*

  25. Tiffany Krieger on July 4, 2023 at 9:43 am

No more of this. Just beliefs 😂❤🎉. Just a thought 🤔💭

  26. João Henrique Da Silva Nunes Jales Ribeiro on July 4, 2023 at 9:43 am

I know about them, mandatory to know considering the first "King" (between quotes cause the Pope had not recognized the kingdom yet) of Portugal was a Templar Knight.

  27. Michael Straw on July 4, 2023 at 9:43 am

If there is a lesson to be learned here its to never trust the french 😅

  28. TheScreamMan on July 4, 2023 at 9:45 am

The pastor at my church once said to us that no one should give any church money unless we knew where that money was being used. They had a transparent and easily accessed system that showed where all the donations were going, but most don’t.
I don’t go to church anymore for other reasons, but i DID respect that about the one i went too.

  29. Mark Nunya on July 4, 2023 at 9:45 am

These inner monologues that are some kind of attempted comedy are not funny, Simon. You have the accent, but lack the timing & creativity.

  30. Patrick Brumm on July 4, 2023 at 9:45 am

20:00 Rosslyn Chapel was able to finance a new roof from all the tourist bucks the Dan Brown books brought their way

  35. Tremor Boria on July 4, 2023 at 9:55 am

This is the first time anyone has uttered the words "I’m learning from the history channel" since 2009.
This is a direct reflection of something but I am not sure what, Society? Media? Our ever present onward march to a click-bate based culture? 🐢

  36. Hamburger Serenade on July 4, 2023 at 9:56 am

The true Templar treasures were the heathens we met along the way.

  37. Hot Mess Studio on July 4, 2023 at 9:56 am

The treasure is on Oak Island. I’m a Chappell. William was my great great grandfather’s brother. My great grandfather Claude is the nephew that helped William on the dig in the 30s. My grandfather is the preteen boy that can be seen in many of the photos from digging the Chappell shaft. Trust me, there is treasure down there. Atleast I hope it is, I have treasure shares that so far aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on 🤷‍♀️

  39. Fun Run Videos on July 4, 2023 at 9:59 am

We don’t believe a magic Christian beliefs. We must be bad😅

  41. HeliRy on July 4, 2023 at 10:03 am

Not knowing what a hobbit is, just means you aren’t smart enough to know what you watched in SIX FRACKING MOVIES!!!

  43. Robert Carter on July 4, 2023 at 10:03 am

Simon if you lived back in the days of the crusades you probably would not be an atheist… Atheism really didn’t start up until a couple hundred years ago people had no problem believing in Christ or Allah or some pagan religion but they pretty much always believed in something very very few people of that time. Could claim to be atheist

  44. rock lupus on July 4, 2023 at 10:05 am

Can you please go back to short videos, that stay on topic. No jokes or pass experiences needed, just the topic of the video. That would be nice

  45. Petrila Christian on July 4, 2023 at 10:06 am

Man you are so anoying when u pretend to be stupid and never heard of things when u abviosly are the biggest geek and have like 13 channels all based on knoledge and information

  46. Adam Rogers on July 4, 2023 at 10:08 am

If in many accounts the treasure was put on boat for transport, and nobody has recoded finding it since, why is there no theory that the boats it was on sank? That truthfully seems the most logical explanation, if we assume that it was real and it was moved.

  47. yusuf sayed on July 4, 2023 at 10:09 am

Asmadeus was the demon who kept safe the Templar treasure’s. You could of made this interesting.

  48. kenyon wells on July 4, 2023 at 10:09 am

Simon, we get it you are an atheist and a coward. Please stop reminding us it is cringy. Of course you would never join a crusade. And no Crusade would want to have you in their ranks.

  49. Motherf*ckin' Dave on July 4, 2023 at 10:09 am

Man, you’re ADHD is shining bright in this video…lol… this would have been 10 minutes long if you didn’t get side tracked every 2 minutes.
