Small Towns of Ridgeway & Winnsboro SC
God Bless The Conderderates
Hahaha this is great. I had written you to tell you about this Town and the Police Station, and clearly I had missed your original trip, Good stuff.
That phone booth takes me back! We used many of them. Love our trip with you Adam. I was disrupted watching this video and coming back to it. I am all caught up now. I can’t wait until next one.🙂👏
I wonder if they’ll let black folks walk in that church?
I live in Winnsboro, and I can tell you there is a lot of history some not so nice, there was so much for you to see. I love living here despite the hauntings that are frequently experienced.
I understand why you are fascinated with all of these older relics of the past…you see the value in everything. I am the same way. This South Carolina girl loves these videos, Adam! Keep up the great work, and continue to share this with all of us. We appreciate it and YOU!!!
Hey, the anvil Rock’s story was when it heard the rooster crow it would spin or when the train came by. Folklore but still interesting.
Magnificent
Great to see you doing a video with Carolina Tony!
Way back I learned to touch type on a typewriter like that. They keys were covered with a cotton cover and we placed our hands underneath the covers and typed from a book next to us. Brought back memories x
Jack Nickelson the film ‘The Departed’!
"Whats the Difference "!
Around America with the Woo.
I love these videos. Thanks Adam!
maybe its the people that rotate around the rock
Glacial erratic. Glacier left the rock perhaps?
My ex love on a farm out there even though we are not together anymore I fell in love with Ridgway and want to move there now
I had an aunt that lived in Winnsboro and she was murdered by a friend that she knew and her son (my cousin) found her dead in the front door of her house (it’s a loooong story)
Dats a weird ass rock
I would think you would like to know there was a movie made in this little town in the 80s called staying together with Sean Austin and a few others. But love the videos.
The large rocks you see above ground are just ones that are sitting on the rock you are waking on. Fairfield county is sitting a on bed of granite. If you head west on the railroad museum tracks you will find many places where rock is above ground. Further west in the county you will find what was once call "The silk of the trade". Fairfield county was know for it’s blue granite. The museum tracks are the last of the once spur line from the Blue Granite and lesser grade rock used for highway and building material. That same spur line was the last commercial RR in the nation still running steam engines to pull the rock trains.
LOVE THIS VIDEO….WHO WAS THAT SWEET LITTLE MAN YOU WERE WITH? 😇🌻
Don’t get robbed while your there. This town is a fucking shithole.
I wonder, what’s under that rock?
Great stuff, thanks Adam!
My mother’s family was from the deep south. We heard about General William Tecumseh Sherman’s march but we never went to see where their plantation had been if they even knew, so this video was a trip. You kind of glossed over the parts about the first U.S. Navy officer to resign from the Navy when Lincoln was elected and so did NOT serve under Lincoln, and also how the grave with the obelisk was for a signer to the Declaration of Secession from the Union by South Carolina, an act of treason against the U.S. government. That red cross just inside the church gave me a start too. I half expected we were going to be shown into a back room where there was a closet full of old white robes.
You guys were in the right place at the right time this day..
Woo…. these type of video’s with people helping you around town giving information on the area are very good video’s….
Can you go to long town?
I miss old phone booths.

The best thing about doing videos like these is not knowing how the day will unfold or what will happen . No plans except seeing small towns and next thing ya know we are riding around in a locals truck getting a tour.
Do U use Go Pro Camera’s ?
Your video’s are always awesome.
6:42 I cannot express how much I loved this scene it brought a lot of joy and calmness to me. It’s just these older men in a small town shooting the breeze ya know? Just people being people and I feel like in todays pc eggshell culture you rarely ever see this anymore
How awesome that you came across this gentleman who had lived there all of his life. That church was beautiful!
Hey Adam glad to see you found our little lovely town in Ridgeway South Carolina my grandfather was the policeman in the 60s get this he could not drive he manly walked and kept an eye on the properties when a call would come in he had to have someone to drive the police car
Lol, the drive thru ATM reminds me of the first time that I visited America. I was in Ohio visiting family and I was amazed by it in 1994 😆
Fantastic steam train and horses mural 👍
You two were a hoot with the Nicholson bits!
Rideway hehehe. Yes it is small and hasn’t changed much but it was once on the news. One of the worse speed traps. I live just east of there.
This video with Carolina To y is the BEST!!! I hope you two keep in touch and collaborate again SOON!!!
It’s Reeve not Reeves sir.
This town have not changed in a 100 years. Sure of there mindset of race and religion.
What a Nice video! The colab was awesome! Anvil rock was interesting and the 3D murals were exquisite. Looked as if the horses were sculptures how neat! Thx
The town clock in Winnsboro came from England through Charleston. It is the oldest continuously running clock in the United States.
