Possibly the MOST INCREDIBLE TREASURE I’ve Ever Found Metal Detecting!
Possibly the MOST INCREDIBLE TREASURE I’ve Ever Found Metal Detecting!
On this adventure I find myself in a thick pine forest in the mountains of Vermont and what I find may be the most incredible discovery of my life.
If you’re interested in knowing more about Anna and her life, I’ve put together a video about her here: https://youtu.be/CcEa4SZd7UU

5:49 The money buried below the big W 😁
Looks like that was ingraved on a old silver spoon.
BACK IN THE DAY THEY ISSUED THOSE LITTLE ROUND SILVER PLATES WITH YOU NAME AND BIRTH DATE ON IT, THEY WERE ACTUALLY THE FIRST SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS – THE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER WAS FOUND DIRECTLY UNDER THE LAST NAME – YOU KEPT YOUR LIL SILVER PLATE AND PAID YOUR SS TAX EACH YEAR, WHICH BACK THEN WAS ABOUT 50% OF YOUR WAGES – WHEN YOU TURNED 65 YEARS OF AGE AND WENT TO DRAW YOUR SS MONEY BACK, THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER WOULD TELL YOU; "WE HAVE ALREADY GIVEN YOU A LIL SILVER PLATE, THAT IS ALL YOU GET, NOW GET OUT OF HERE!!!" – LOLx1,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT *WAS* A COOL FIND, WE ENJOY YOUR VIDEOS AND SUBSCRIBED TO YOUR CHANNEL A FEW WEEKS AGO, PLEASE DO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK WITH THE VIDEOS, AND *HAPPY HUNTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Anna A Leonard
I just watched the video about the history of the Anna pendant. I really enjoyed it. I think it should be buried with her next to her grave marker.
Trail of tears days?
I wonder how that wonderfull medallion got way out into the forest,we will never know, fabulous if you can trace this person😱😱Lyn in AUSTRALIAXXX
Found her genealogy online, Anna A. Born May 5th 1794 lived in Mass. Wonderful video, great find. Just fantastic history.
In my opinion your biggest find was the 53rd belt plate as my family were Loyalists in that war…you likely wouldn’t sell it, but if you do, I would give you a serious offer!
Perfect habitat for the Gunyak
What kind of pinpointer? Do I need a Deus?
. Is a home made medallion fathers would make and put in or on top of their child’s home made casket, alot of times nailed to the casket.
Put it back.
Dude your etiquette It’s so ridiculous and over-the-top. Nobody is gonna care about the last name, and nobody is gonna care about you spraying water on a copper coin to remove dirt from it
Dweeb
Were you able to return the medallion to the family?
How can I get a t-shirt?love the show. Want to spread the show to ours to watch.
One day I loved to come up from California and dig with you in Vermont. Love to find a coppwr coin or two
Is oh my god, at 8 min 41 sec, all you can say?
Zhole!
Stork
I dont metal detecting & iuse garden trawle that is made from plastic.
There would be Know way even with the Name, showing to find out where you are, Unless the family still owns the land, and I doubt, That very much. But great Fine.
I’m sure I’m totally wrong about this, but I would not return it.
Barrel tap key
Enjoyed the video nice to see some nice finds coming up
Heading your way renting house on lake champlane
I’ve never been to Vermont, but I’d take a trip just tag along and watch.
I believe it should be returned to a descendant. However, it would mean more to a descendant that loves family history/genealogy. Since you have done so much research on Anna, you would know if any of her current descendants have a family tree and if they are actively continuing to research. This is the type of person that would treasure and love this pendant.
Scabbard tip?
the pin pointer very nearly became somebody else’s treasure a hundred years from now… 😮
congratulations on your videos 👏👏👏 what sprays do you throw on the coins my friend ??
I need a feature like that for my mind. I’m always losing it and it would be nice if I could just push a button to find it. Lol.
Looks kinda like an old British colonial button. The part of the design that’s left is familiar.
Nice finds
I posted a comment on the site where you had a YouTube video explaining your search for "Anna". It read as follows: "This is probably the best video you have made of your exploits with a metal detector, Brad! It is amazing that finding such a small item could ‘open the book’ to such a HUGE story. Thank you for all your hard work and being such an inspiring person!!"
Awesome
Anna Leonard😁
Love your channel. I think the "medallion" might be a remembrance of a child who died shortly after birth. I also think the "chest" might be a baby basket and the child is "flying" out to heaven. Just my take. It was a beautiful find, to be sure.
I love this video. Now, I am dying to know if he ever found anything out about the person it belonged to or if he was able to find descendants to give it to?
.
Just watched your video (though a little ambivalent in watching detecting videos) pleasantly pleased that you were so normal-really I tip my hat at you for not screaming/no over top music/great explanations/and the I don’t know-could be-will let you know comments.
Great recovery on the silver medallion piece.
BTW-the key-It’s call a keg/barrel/spigot key nice recovery (One can ID them by the open square end)
Probably watch another one of your videos just hope it’s on the same level of normality.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
i am reminded of Nicola White, London Mudlark, and i know of no higher compliment.
Wow..what great finds. Hope you revisit. One of your best
Snath.
I think the clock winder is actually a barrel tap key.
I LOVE the music for this video!!
Please say what it is!
I just tried to blow dirt off your glove
LOL o boy… time to go to bed!
