Where is the LOST Treasure of Lima?

The Treasure of Lima has been rumored to be hidden on one specific island. However many adventurers have searched but only one is rumored to have found anything at all.

Perhaps this man found the Spanish Gold due to his close connections to the crew that actually managed to lift this treasure but the entire loot is rumored to still be lying right where the men hid it nearly 200 years earlier. Could the Treasure of Lima actually still be there?

After conquering other countries Spain’s colonies would be the one to put these events in motion but it would be a captain, his first mate and the crew that are responsible for the entire Spanish Gold sitting where it is today.

Is the Treasure of Lima still there? Did the conquistadors involved retrieve the Spanish Gold and other valuables?
