My grandfather was a prospector and a very good one. In the 70s he found a nice vein just off Morgan City wash about 2 miles W/NW of Old Christian Church road west of Lake Pleasant where it enters the wash. He staked a claim named Oregon Pipe mining claim. We spent about every weekend there blasting, digging, sorting and would thank lots of stuff back to Glendal😢where we would pan, dissolve in nitric acid and such. I think it was profitable because he used to show me all the bottles of gold before he took them to the assay office “I think it was called.” I still live in North Phoenix and would like to go back out there if anyone is interested let me know.

This is called common sense and read about the area’s. It also depends how big the flood is because the gold could still be in the bedrock! You checked the washout sand and bedrock first and moved on from the area’s! Good video and great advice!
Very cool! I found my first nugget about the same size on Halloween this year. I’m in AZ right now, Yuma. Hopefully I can get out and do some prospecting.
