A Pretty Big DEAL – Metal Detecting a NJ Beach for Treasure on the Shore with the Deep Search Club
Doug and I venture to the town of Deal New Jersey to join up with the Deep Search Metal Detecting Club to celebrate their 40th anniversary with a beach hunt on the New Jersey Shore. Metal Detectorists from all over came out and searched the beach for scattered silver, coins, jewelry, even a treasure chest filled with gold! A weekend of detecting filled with fun, friends, and finds!

BOO! This is the only video of yours, i DIDN’T LIKE!
Looks like you had a great time at the event
That looks like so much fun! I wish we had something like that in my area
what a great day. great people Jason and Doug meeting great people. always a pleasure
That was a great video. Thank you, a lot, for making and sharing it. BTW, I’m searching for Black Beard’s treasure too. I haven’t found it yet.
Looks like everyone had a great time. I’m still swinging a garrett atpro so pinpointer probe won’t help me any. More money in my pocket. Because you no I would want one if I had a minelab or legend. P.s. that tree behind you is covered in poison ivy!
That probe is pretty cool
It’s interesting watching dirt hunters in sand. Definitely an art form in each style of detecting. Can tell by the location guys pick to hunt the finds would be 90 percent seeded . They bring in so much replenishment fill on that beach I’d take one step on it and change beaches. If your shoe sinks the finds will stink. On rare occasions you will pop a ring on that dry. Mostly because the cleaning machine bunched up the sand moving it , and missed it in the collection bin. Good luck with your season gents.
West shore hobbies. I didn’t even know about your business. I do remember the White’s Hobby on Derry St. I’ll have to pay you a visit someday. I live in Harrisburg btw.
Please stop using the nick name of, "Jane Fon-Doug" for Doug. I really find the name, "J*ne F*nda to be an affront to our veterans, and patriots in general. So, please, do you fans a favor, and stop using that nick-name. I watch all of your videos and find you channel great, except for this one thing.
well this is very different type of episode. Change of pace for you men. I watch a lot of metal detectorists and I do love a beach hunt. It looks easier physically because of the scoop, but is it? I’m glad Doug was with you. Oh! The Ocean! Brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for taking us to the ocean.
Man I miss the jersey beach. I’ve probly been right where yall were at. I live in SC now…..too far from the beach. Got tons of lakes, but that’s it. Cool wheatie. I just remembered I dropped that years ago. 😄 just kidding. That looked so fun to do. All I found today was a 1984 quarter and 1980 penny. Lol.
Great video brotha!! It was a pleasure meeting you and we hope to see you again soon. That pinpointer for the Nox is a game changer. 🤙
Even if u didn’t get anything,it was a nice day at the beach!😊
Thank you so much for coming to our hunt and for the wonderful video! It was truly our pleasure meeting you and Doug. Hope you will come to our 32nd Annual Jersey Shore Treasure next September. This is your invitation! Donna Funk, President – Deep Search Metal Detecting Club.
How Fun Jason & Doug ‼️.
Loved all the cool effects in your video J.
Looking forward to seeing y’all in November. You can try my Deus 2.
I haven’t ever been to a beach hunt. Great job to Deep Search 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
See y’all soon 🎉
events like that aren’t for me. I detect to get away from people, not compete with them
4:12 reminds me of a line in the TV show Detectorist, "detectorist are solitary animals but a few times a year they group up in a hast hurds" haha.
NICE JOB JASON! GREAT TO SEE YA AGAIN! ALWAYS A FUN TIME!
Had a great time! You guys are awesome🤙
Your videos are so interesting. I learn alot watching them. Of course I’m a fan of Dog Tag Doug, he is so hip! Jason, you are very good at keeping the video going. Your all’s antics leave me laughing and smiling. Thx ✌️🤩
Awesome fellas , great fellowship . Thanks for sharing
QUARTER EQUINOX HAS A NEW DICTATOR CALLED THE MANTERCORE. WOULD love to see you GUYS try it out.🙂
I thought Doug might have been sporting a thong since it was a beach hunt you guys are great 👍
Shout out to Team Lynch B.M.D. Glad to see them in your video.
Great video of the event. 508 Magnets what a beautiful piece of gold It looked like everyone had a great time. Nice to see Rachel, Tim and Kathy Too! That Sun Ray probe is interesting! Have fun at your next hunt!
Awesome to see some great peeps and nice to see Joe’s new products!!!
Nice change of pace. Enjoyed the video.
Looks like everyone had a great time at the event. Thanks for sharing!!
Very cool hunt! I guess Rich van winkle slept in. Good thing as he would have had sand flying everywhere. Very nice to see old friends and meet new ones!
Hey Quarter duder. I finally broke down and bought a Deus 2. I gotta say after finding around 1250 coins with it in the last two to three months that I like the fact that its super light and apparently can find treasure deeper than the 15" coil of the nox. I use the 9" coil and it is easier to pinpoint without actually doing it. The biggest learning curve is just figuring out all the different settings on it and how to work the menu. Didn’t take to long once you actually start doing it. I found a really nice 14k gold ring a few days ago with 12 real diamonds on it. It read like a nickel. Also the fact it has a 100 numbers instead of 30 makes it easier to discern what you are digging. I like it so far.
The pinpointer is cool but adding weight to the detector I’m not a fan of. It’s hard enough to swing a nox for 8 hours
Gonna have to try next year! Super!
Is there a price point for the inline Pinpointer for the Nox?
I have 2 Sun Ray DTI 2 readers for my Sovergin Elite! One I have had for over16 years, both work but the screen on one is starting to have dead spots in it.
Looks like a great way to spend the afternoon.
looked like a fun time !!!!!
I would like a much lighter set of headphones for my blue tooth (like the ones that come with ORX)equinox 800 could you recommend a brand?
Ok I got a weird question how or why if a storm will stop a detector how can a 1000 people not cancel each other out? Never had that problem but detect alone. No mater the weather . Just couris why the aussie have that problem? Blessings
Great video!! I’m a big beach hunter, love it, lots of gold and silver!!
Today I found 2 rings a smoking implement,..a super blingy roach clip and a IPHONE with ID so I’ll contact the person tomorrow and hand it back.
Yes my name is Quarter the Doug Hoarder 🙂 Sorry that just came to me 🙂 LOL
Deal is a money area somebody could’ve hit a nice ring that wasn’t seeded. Although after that storm a week ago the guys have been pounding these beaches. I live on the bayside shore of LBI the storm dug some great cuts the silver is popping up pretty nice with the other usual beach finds
Edit: I wrote that before watching the entire video I see someone did hit some gold.
I had the Sunray pinpointed for my DFX many years ago and it does pinpoint and ID perfectly. I used it to search foundation stones. I highly recommend the Sunray being I personally used it for years and it rocks on the DFX. It also has great depth. I paid like $,179 maybe less I don’t remember but I never regretted spending the money on it.
Gods honest truth, I found a bayonet in an old abandoned home in the attic with the Sunray. I was walking and pinpointing the plaster ceiling and it literally outlined the bayonet through the ceiling plaster. I was hoping for a jar of gold but the bayonet was a definite keeper.
O man, this video gets me pumped up, I’ll be heading down Fri to Arkansas in hopes to meet you and your crew in person!
That looked awful, glad I wasn’t there!! Sand and people all around… Was this a seeded hunt? Think I’ll keep to the fields 😉
What a treat..a Sunday video..thanks guys
I’ve had a Sun Ray in-line probe on my White’s DFX for years. There are two minor downsides, but I love it anyway. The downsides are (1) you’re tethered to your rig and (2) there’s a switch you use to manually select between coil and probe, and I’m always forgetting to switch back to coil after filling a hole.
looked like a good time Jason ! watched till the end and always entertained with your content 💥👍🏴☠️🤠
Great ocean footage awesome hunt Jason and dog tag doug
