Great find… And I’d like to help you with it somehow. I’m in the upper part of the State where the Appalachian Mountain range ends and we have very similar rocks. The several acres behind me have been worked to catch the fines washing down the valley and not by hunter-gatherers either…although I’m not sure just who would have done such things as they have. The rocks here have heft, more so than the normal sized rocks and the so called Bangor Limestone isn’t normal limestone, it’s actually a metamorphic rock. Plenty of hematite and magnetite, chromium ore and even balls of graphite in abundance here too and the limestone is crystalline in makeup similar to your area.
Best wishes for you all and your efforts at recovery of the precious metal values… I’d love to learn how to do the same thing, especially since someone else was doing it right here a long time ago. I’m inviting you to take a look at the site, if you ever get up this way. There’s a lot of interesting things to see here and there is a lot of history behind it according to the local lore. The Spanish that came through here found a silver mine and nobody has found it since, but the lore goes on that they turned it over to the indigenous people who mined it out and carried the ore to Blount Springs where the locals smelted it into bullion for them.

What about the rock crushing, grinding mill, and ore extraction processes used throughout the Southwest? Wouldn’t those processes work to extract the ore? Hard rock mining isn’t new, those processes have been used and refined over 150 years now.

I tell you this so you know I know nothing about this. I also have no religion but i am spiritual and mindful and seem to take a little bit of all religions. I liked your story and I liked how you come to recognise the sincranisity that got you to where you are. If we open up to more than just ourselves then there is space for wealth in so many different forms. I hope you don’t think I’m being rude as this only comes from a good place, but it would be a lovely end of a lovely story. Have you remembered to give something good back to those who live in your state of Alabama like a college, library or a museum with the history of Alabama with a creek where children can pan and with the money that comes to the museum can be put back into the community. I hear that you pass your knowledge on but you do charge for that privilege. I just feel that as the lord showed you the way, and the wealth you have is so vast that the lord would appreciate you passing some of that on to the people of Alabama, you could maybe provide a couple of scholarships each year for two student’s that have the highest grades but not the means to go onto college.

When I produced my prospecting video I was confronted by a production company about making a reality show about miners there in Alaska. I told them that most of the miners would run them off their property and I didn’t see any way it would work… That production company went on to produce "Gold Rush"… I didn’t mind missing out because I knew if they started showing all these small miners that MSHA would have a field day.
