This video was made to help promote the economic and environmental benefits to conservation. We hope that this video can help to influence change in Barbados and that it presents governments with the incentive to protect its marine ecosystems.
This project was led by Jake Gutman, Rebecca Lavery and Helena Reinfels, under the supervision of Andre Miller and Susan Mahon.
All of the footage save for two clips were taken during our time on the island of Barbados for the purpose of this study.

When I cam here 14 years ago there were approximately 14 catamarans playing in their tourism trade. Now there are 40 to 50: has the government totally reneged on their responsibility to our habitat, will they allow 100 if enough people buy them! It’s disgusting.
