BURIED TREASURE IN YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS SHASTA COUNTY
BURIED TREASURE IN YOUR NECK OF THE WOODS SHASTA COUNTY
Today’s Treasure Tale takes us to Shasta County in Northern California for a story of a strong box hidden but never recovered.
Hope you enjoy!
Where was the stagecoach route?
This whole story is wrong. it was 1892 to start not 1862. Nice story but the real history is totally different.
Lee, that was one great video. I love the history as you know. I guess the outlaws are probably my favorites because school didn’t teach you but the really infamous ones. I guess this is why
I love your videos so much. You do such a great job of researching and narrating. All the best.
Lee and have a great week, my friend. ;D
Great story my friend Thanks for sharing
Try the Rattlesnake Dick barter robbery, could be around 80 pounds of gold somewhere around Trinity Mountain.
That was a great history lesson Lee. This is one treasure I will bet is still out there ……
I remember hearing about this I should be out there looking.
This story is falsely told. Did you even try contacting any of the real local historians of the area before publishing this? Or not? You could have easily contacted the Shasta Historical Society or the Trinity County Historical Society for them to review this. What garbage. Wrong dates, bad story line.
Didn’t even get the year right.
It’s a shame this entire story told here is so wrong. I have read the news papers from that time and though it has some close statements, but those are even wrong. The guard was inside the stage, Charles was shot in the face with a shotgun, John was in the bushes. The stage was heading into redding from shasta not the other way around. I stopped watching after this video depicted them standing together robbing and charles being shot in the back.
Great story, I love to metal detect!! I sure hope I find a jar or two full of coins someday…But love the history all the more.
Great history lesson! I wish you will find good treasure!
Another good story brother thanks for sharing. Good luck and happy hunting brother
