Chasing Legends 319: The Baking Soda Treasure

Today on Chasing Legends of the Superstition Mountains, Wayne Tuttle tells a story about another treasure hidden near Prescott, Arizona.

The Superstition Mountains are located in Apache Junction, Arizona. Within the wilderness, the Lost Dutchman Mine has remained hidden, with up to $200 million in gold. Wayne Tuttle, Frank Augustine, Woody Wampler, Eric Deleel, and Eric Magnuson set out into the Superstition Mountains on History Channel’s Legend of the Superstition Mountains to search for the infamous gold mine in 2015. Growing restless waiting for a second season, Wayne and Frank decided to continue their search in the Superstition Mountains on YouTube, filming videos of their treks into the mountains. The team now engages in treasure hunting and gold prospecting in the Superstition Mountains, searching for Ted DeGrazia’s lost paintings and investigating strange stories and mysteries of the Superstition Mountains.

line of sight . she would have keep the fire of camp in sight of where she went to hide the cans ..but your not looking for the cans , you are looking for the wooden box or metal box with the cans in it … ! 25 to 40 yards away ..you never hide something unless you think you can find it again .

Wayne just one point I would like to make. As a middle age feminist I would like to point out that you called the two cowboys gentlemen at one point. I’m sure you were just telling a story but let’s remember that these two “gentlemen” used an ax to kill two people. They then had a teenage girl at their disposal whether she liked it or not. As the father of a young daughter I am sure you wouldn’t want your daughter to be in that situation. As you are telling the story I am feeling nothing but pity for young Jesse. Her parents were murdered and she was probably raped and manipulated by these two men. One of them even “purchased” her from the other. The old west can be a hard place but it can be a horrible place for a young girl without anyone to love her. I don’t hate you or anything I’m just old and bitchy and a feminist.

2000 bucks is equivalent today from 1886 is $65,000. If found would be worth 4.4 million dollars collecters value.
