Coins Found Older Than America Itself! | Metal Detecting Colonial Vermont

I spent the first half the day unsuccessfully digging in the mountains when I receive a call from Jeff, it appears the colonial field wasn’t planted this season! Spent the second half of the day digging colonial coins, relics, & jewelry!

I would have been looking for native American points/arrowheads.

  10. Mint Frye on November 28, 2023 at 8:27 am

Yall ever find any arrowheads out in them fields?

  11. Penney on November 28, 2023 at 8:27 am

Yeah, frogs and toads do "it" the same way. They both have tadpoles first after they hatch out from the spawn. Unless you’re a cute little green frog in our pond, then you get a gangbang from big ugly brown toads.

Try CLR as a coin cleaner, it works well and won’t damage the coin.

I love your show and have watched every episode i can. I was introduced to metal detecting as a child by my god parents and continue to this day but have never found things like you do living in Florida. Now at 52 yrs young my metal detector is a 20yr old Garrett GT 1250. I’d like to know which one you have, or recommend as its time to get a newer one. Thanks Mike

  21. Michael Guinn on November 28, 2023 at 8:35 am

Hey Brad, I’ve always had a interest in finding things in the woods, I’ve never had a metal detector, but I soon plan on buying one, your videos have re-sparked my interest in roaming the woods searching for stuff…keep up the good work.

  22. DustyTables on November 28, 2023 at 8:36 am

Question for you: In your opinion, do you think that a lot of the artifacts you find scattered about those old homesteads were caused by fire in the structures?
Do you find evidence of this on some of them?
I’m envious of your soil there. You can sink an E tool into the ground a good distance! Here in E TN, you’re lucky to dig 4 inches down and then hit red clay.
    Lovely country up that way!

  23. Mike Green on November 28, 2023 at 8:36 am

2:58 what was going up in the sky ufo 🛸?????

  30. ohwhatelse on November 28, 2023 at 8:45 am

Now THAT is something! Good for you . Coin SHOULD be worth a fortune & I’m glad for you. I’d love to do some detecting myself but there sure aren’t going to be any colonial coins or the like out here in the NW. I do know of one old fort area, though…. hmm

  31. Salvation Border Country on November 28, 2023 at 8:47 am

Pretty cool, but that pre 1700 coin just blows my mind! Was that captured on film? If so I can’t wait to see it. But if not, thanks for mentioning and showing it.9-15-20

  35. Jessie James on November 28, 2023 at 8:53 am

    -Yeah they’re fun .

  36. nms on November 28, 2023 at 8:53 am

I just want to throw this out there: be careful when handling young toads and frogs. They are very fragile and easily break bones. The toad in the video looks like a juvenile American toad. And yes, he used to be a tadpole! Love your videos!

  37. Karl Wester on November 28, 2023 at 8:55 am

    UFO @ 2:57

  38. David James on November 28, 2023 at 8:56 am

    Click-bait video. Thumbs down.

  39. Kristine B on November 28, 2023 at 8:58 am

yes, toads develop from the small black tadpoles you see in lakes and streams. The larger brown tadpoles are frogs.

  40. brian vaughn on November 28, 2023 at 9:00 am

Have you ever found any ancient artifacts from the Book of Mormon? Has any metal detector people?

    I didn’t think so.

  46. Jim Phillips on November 28, 2023 at 9:08 am

SANDPAPER!?! Noooooooooooooooooooo! Use Sparex, a LIGHT acid used in removing fire scale from jewelry! A tsp in a Liter of water will do the trick. If you are nowhere near a jewelry supply house, look up Rio Grande at riogrande.com.

  47. ACEOFSPADES 626 on November 28, 2023 at 9:09 am

What music is playing @ 2:30 min

  48. Nanette Barling on November 28, 2023 at 9:09 am

    Are toads tadpoles?! 😆

  49. David Church on November 28, 2023 at 9:09 am

destructive coin cleaning reveals a coin that is definitely NOT older than America, George 3rd was about 1760. Welsh and Irish people had been visiting America since about 5-6th centuries, then vikings, then columbus. so this coin is not even before the discovery of America – but America was formed millions of years before this.

  50. liveuk on November 28, 2023 at 9:10 am

We all love old coins and the people that settled there probably loved their home it’s so nice.
They like us probably took old family stuff with them.
I have ancient stuff in my home and watching this thought would people find my stuff and think I was from the stone age because of my stuff 🧐
