You guys want reconstruction? Or complain about brush clearing? Buy some special flags. Stick them in the ground outlining historical preservation sites. Talk to a couple of bulldozer drivers, tell them. Write on a crude sign…these special flags (whatever color) mark the perimeter of a special historical burial site. Those bulldozer drivers are most likely not acquainted with the Hawaiian Historical Sites. Talk to them!

It’s not just Hawaii. In Chickasha OK the City Politicians had to deal with a corner of city land which included the high school. An old cemetery on this corner was mowed & left alone for 1 hundred yrs. One day they decided it was too difficult to mow & with no word, piled up the tomb stones & cleared the area.
This is beyond sad. Hawaiians and Native Americans seem to be the only ones who seem to take burial grounds sacred.
