Wish I was there with you to dowse the grade of the gold in the mine and show you how to dowse gold. The next best thing is to read The Art of Dowsing – Separating Science from Superstition book for building the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod and teaching yourself the physics and how to dowse for yourself. I give free dowsing lessons in Laplata Canyon near Durango, Colorado where a gold vein system runs underneath the Laplata County Road. Have a safe, healthy, good day.

I herded sheep in the San Juans near Telluride, back when I was 20. Was the best cardiovascular shape I was ever in. So steep that the elk’s legs grow longer on one side than the other (lol).๐Ÿ˜ข

    Hi mate, food for thought:
Every time we’ve found pegmatites in a gold bearing area, the pegmatites assay results gave good indicators for lithium.
If I were you I’d send samples of those pegmatites in for assay.
Lithium is kind of the new gold these days.

This is my third post on this video. You will not see the regular vein type material in the vulcanization uplift of these mountains. Instead of the steams and solutions filling fissures and with limestone and shale (softer stratus) be the conduits and collectors of the steams and fluids, the extremely hard sandstone and other hardened stratus are buckled upward producing small horizontal cracks that are forced to collect the steams and solutions because the stratus and gang rock is too hard to collect all of the steams and solutions. Most of the mines were richer small mines because of inconsistency of the ore bodies. A couple of mines were big because of the consistency of ore over long distances.

ALWAYS carry your pulaski, rifle or tools on the downhill side when going downhill so you don’t fall on your tool if you slip.

  22. JohnnyOnTheSpot on November 26, 2023 at 8:46 am

Yeah that rusty trail marker just might have been put there to mark Sasquatch’s trail marker to warn you that you’ll have to experience some strange things before momma mountain gold gives up her precious gold.

  23. Michael Fercik on November 26, 2023 at 8:49 am

This is my personal prospecting area and I have dowsed out the old mines in this area. On the steep ridge line you were hiking there is three 1900’s mines along the NE side of the ridge line. The USGS has a geological survey study done on horse back with documenting the mined minerals of the thirty or so mines located in the area. Yes, they used horses and mules to cut timber from the top to the bottom of these mountains with taking most of the bigger trees and leaving the littler trees.

  37. Shackles and Shenanigans on November 26, 2023 at 9:16 am

Hey bro I got the prize I won and I just wanted to say thank you very much. It’s awesome to get to pan something out. It’s been a while since I could go out coz I bought a jeep. Just empty every pocket right lol. I bought a highbanker I can setup for recirculating out in the desert and wouldn’t ya know it. My jeep started making an ugly noise in the front diff so I don’t trust taking it out until I get that taken care of so the paydirt is very much appreciated. Keep on keeping on bro. We love what your doing
