As Hurricane Helene recovery efforts on Treasure Island continue, residents question FEMA’s response and want more help bringing supplies in and out.

The amount of work to restore basic services, remove debris & remove sand is staggering. Allowing vechile traffic to enter would basically stop everything else from getting done.

As someone who has experienced every single Hurricane to hit the Louisiana area for the past 40 years. I can attest to the fact that the gov / FEMA are utterly useless. Your best bet is to form a MILITA. Arm yourself, supply yourself, reach out to other states and place orders to be hauled in bulk. Its not hard to contact large food chains and place orders for 500 can’s beans, 2,000 pounds rice, 2,000 pounds potatoes etc and then contact a shipper company to long haul that shit closer for your own people to distribute to each other. I have lost count at the number of times I have drove 400 plus miles to exit the affected area of disaster. Loaded up my trailer with food / fuel / ice / generators / 55 gallon drums / tarps / cleaning supplies and brought them back to those of us who work together to protect our own interest.
2016 the interstates flooded and for 3 days people were trapped unable to move. the locals emptied their freezers and hauled truck loads of food to the overpass feeding those who were without meanwhile the 1 helicopter providing aid would drop off 4- 24 case apple sauce (as if that was going to do anything) twice a day. Thats 96 servings for what were hundreds of people stranded at that particular location, This back up of traffic stretched miles in both directions with thousands stranded. Moral, fuk Uncle Sam. Take care of your own, prepare for the worst and stockpile.
When in doubt, your life and your safety are 100% your responsibility. Anyone telling you otherwise, shoot them.
