Therichest I enjoyed your vid then decided to research the San Jose that was mentioned only to learn that the Columbian gov is keeping it ALL from the discoverers. I guess due to corruption and greed. I have learned of a few cases in the last couple. of years and I imagine that treasure hunters are going to forget to notify some of these said government agencies going forward. Now that may mean lost historical artifacts be dammed. I feel that after risking the time and monies to locate such things the finders should get to keep as much as they want. Governments spend our $ as they want and average citizens have little say about it, so if there is a treasure ship within territorial waters and they have the interest let them find it on their own or leave it to others.
how can that huge gold chain that was on the bottom of the ocean for 200 years with all that history behind it sell for only 190k dollars? That should be several million dollars.

There’s a cool documentary from 1976 where he had found many things the bronze cannons and other artifacts loose coins. A nice find. It wouldn’t be till 8 years later they found the mother load a giant wall of sliver and gold bars .while the stern was never found with a small bounty unaccounted for it’s assumed scattered

My husband and I were there the day Mel found the MOTHER LOAD!!!! It was our last day of vacation and we were making our last round before we were to leave and we’re right outside Mel’s building when they came bursting out of the door screaming, “ We found it, we found the Mother Load”! We weren’t quite sure what all the hoopla was about until we were driving home listening to the radio, then and only then did we realize our very close brush with fame. I wanted to turn around and go back but alas, work was calling us home. ☺️
