Great video, as always! Glad you found gold. Up until now, I assumed there weren’t any ‘meaningful’ deposits in the East. I guess the technology back then prohibited more profitable extraction? Also guessing that, today, Vermont has some serious environmental laws to prevent the mutilation of that gorgeous place! Mendelssohn opus 26 at the end is breathtaking. Thank you for identifying it.

How far up from the brook from the rail for the ore carts? I’ve been to the rail that still sticks out, never beyond
This video puts to rest a nagging question i’ve always had about vt gold and especially the rooks mine. I’ve always wanted to see the inside of the mine, but i’ve never learned to repel with ropes. Good video, thanks for showing me what i’ve never been able to see.
