i grew up in henderson county.
I was doing that in Creek in Maggie valley. I found gold, but I thought it might be fool’s gold I had no way to check it.
Where can you find the laws for the forest, and I was wondering if you are in a boat or kayak on catawba river if you can you pan in the river
Update south Carolina you can find gold in many of the creeks. No rules. I’ve never cared to chase colors where there are restrictions. Over 40 years at it. Before Oceana took over Haile gold mine, I ran all around the area. Folks welcomed me onto there land. In North Carolina, I enjoy searching the old mine sites around Indian Trail, Charlotte area, on up around Reeds gold mine area. Finding gold in Union county tickles my gizzard moreso, because that’s where I’m from. Restrictions? That’s up to you individual as far as I’m concerned. I guess it’s the "Rebel" in my blood!
Are you aware of any place in buncombe county that can be panned successfully? i.e. with color
