Be careful in anniston Ft. McClellan and surrounding it with the monsanto plant is highly polluted with a laundry list toxic chemicals mainly pcb’s but also radioactive materials and chemical weapons, monsanto has paid over a billion dollars to anniston from lawsuits.

‘graveyard juices’…all our best blackberry picking is at our local cemetery, in and around 100-150 year old graves. We call them dead- berries.

Nice finds!! Have you ever walked chamblee mill creek in Blount county? My mother was born and raised in that area and they used that creek as a swimming hole and it stays freezing cold year round!! Lol!! We use to go play all day my dad would bring water melons and place em in the creek and they was like eating one come straight out of the fridge!! Also I have always been told bout some blue glass and blue bottles worth a lot of money around the Blount springs!? Have you ever heard that story? I do know that bangor cave was once used as a nite club I would love to go search for bottles around the cave! I can only imagine the beauty’s you can find!

If you ever find a coke bottle from Lakeland, Fl please let me know. I worked alongside my Dad at the Lakeland plant when they still bottled Cokes. He was a route man so I worked on his truck most summers until the insurance company said that practice had to stop. The I worked there in high school loading trucks at night.

Nice video, if the inside is charred, and it appears to be it was some type of a whiskey barrell, the charcoal in the charred wood would give the whiskey a sweeter flavor, like caramel, appears to be old.

I found an old inkwell clay pottery bottle one day at the river and the pottery bottle also hab an embossed leather binding to it . The binding said, "J. B. Burney & Son London England, England ". I researched the bottle and found that it was from the 1840’s. Could anyone tell me the bottles worth?

  24. impunitythebagpuss on August 6, 2022 at 8:54 am

Barrels were made by coopers back in the day. Most things were transported in barrels…wet or dry goods!

  25. Vickory Wilson on August 6, 2022 at 8:54 am

Great collection. Maybe you should earthquake proof them though, so should that happen none get broken!

  26. Marc Lepage on August 6, 2022 at 8:56 am

  27. DirtFishMish on August 6, 2022 at 8:56 am

This was a great little adventure, I liked the Coca-Cola bottle and ‘gun’, and I’m glad it wasn’t a snapping turtle you grabbed either. πŸ˜‰ Happy hunting!

I did the same thing with a turtle once thinking it was a sweet crock. Then it moved. If you’re anything like me, we didn’t see your reaction because you exclaimed some four letter words. Great video, Brandon! Thanks for showing some of your collection at the end.

Dude I keep the screwtops even though they arent modern who knows maybe one day when we advance further with science we may not use glass. I could be wrong and might be wasting time but I keep all bottles pre-2000s.
