I Found Gold in Alaska!
While in Alaska, I panned for gold near Fairbanks, and found more than 20 gold flakes! This video briefly discusses how many pans of material I used to find this gold and states its weight and current value in USD.

Cool, I have panned for gold in California but I did not weigh it or estimate its value.
Love it
That is awesome I hope you find a ten pound nugget 👍🏽
That voice gave me hep C terrible short
nice!
Pretty
For those who don’t know, an oz is 28.3g and a troy oz is 31.1g.
Welcome to Alaska!
Well aren’t you special.
There are a couple of beaches in Washington that sparkle with fools gold.
Haven’t you ever watched ‘Gold Rush’?!
Congrats. I found some tiny flakes of glacial gold in Illinois by accident, but haven’t tried panning.
What fun! Still remember a song from an exciting patriotic record album “Cinema ‘76,” sold at the 1964 New York World’s Fare, about the gold rush and how it “made our country grow!” I’d like to pan for gold like you myself! – The album can still be searched online & listened to, by the way. A sentimental look at our country when it did not hate itself!
Very cool
My man brought his classifier. Way to go lol Too many times I’ve forgotten it.
Sweet!! I went there for a vacation and finally went back home 17 years later. Found a few ounces of gold, fought for 3 years at the Thursday night fights, and climbed glaciers and kayaker in the ocean among many other things. I miss Alaska though
I’m a hobby prospector, and have been doing it for years. When people ask how I can tell if what I’m looking at is gold or pyrite I always tell them the same thing. Despite the common adage, gold does not glitter, it glows. Not literally of course, but it has a deepness of hue to it. If what you’re looking at glitters, it isn’t gold. Another simple trick is to move it from sun to shade. Gold will have the same color in either. Other metals or minerals will change. Amazing recovery for only 4 pans.
Been there and still have the gold I paned.
Nah man a Troy oz. is 25g, i know because Troy shorted me.
I buy gold, to refine it with acids.
That’s so cool!!! I have tons of gold, but no natural pieces like that. Congratulations! You deserve to find a full kilogram of gold! 😃🪙💰
I have to ask where the material came from. Was it from the mines concentrate or a random location on the mine property.
Lovely!
Nice! Tip, screen before you pan- no need for large rocks in the pan.
Did you go see the Liard Hotsprings?
That’s quite a lot for four pans! Conga rats on finding it!
