Hosted and executive produced by Emmy-nominated actor Zachary Quinto, and inspired by the iconic 1970s’ franchise, the series will examine unexplained phenomena from all over the world. UFOs and paranormal mysteries remain relevant as the Pentagon recently acknowledged a secret UFO program which investigated sightings of UFOs from 2007 – 2012.

Artifacts found don’t necessarily mean the colonists were physically there; it just means their belongings were. The items could have been traded or taken by natives.
Eventually they all went their own way. After cutting a old tree down and counted the rings. Showed what happened. It affected even Jamestown settlers. It’s not rocket science.
They could have split up too.
The colonists could have been killed by the Croatoans, The Croatoans could have taken the
colonist’s possessions and used them. It doesn’t mean the colonists integrated with the
Croatoans, it could have been something more sinister.
Go forth and prosper…
The indians killed them
what if they split up
My question is there decendents from the Croatian tribe and the other tribes in the area, and did aby one asknif there has been stories of invading white people that later needed help?
This narrator needs to go.
Guy from margin call
Interesting episode but nothing was proven at all. As much a mystery now as it was 400 years ago
I love listening to Zachary’s mellifluous voice!
I have vacationed there for about 50 years. I hope they solve it some day
Scott Dawson is correct. I grew up on that same street and as a kid I dug up potery all the time
As long as someone cares this much… Then we stand a chance to civilize the wild west
my name is sylar!
Isn’t that Syler from Heroes?
Last time I saw this documentary, I was leaving in Oregon. Now I live in North Carolina and I work very close from where all this history took place.
They’re not lost anymore. They’re the Lumbee Indians. Stop lying to them and tell them who they are. 💯💯 The descendent’s are well and alive. They aren’t doomed!!
We had to find fresh water. It hadn’t rained in months. Turn your focus on the chowan river.
They built their settlement on an Indian graveyard. That’s why they were attacked and that’s why they are dead.
Sounds like John White sucked at his job
I have always been curious about Roanoke Colony. This series is good. But I like the old In Search Of …
Ain’t nothing like Leonard Nimoy and his classic 70s/early 80s TV show ….
I still wonder what happend to that colony. One of Americas biggest secrets
BEAUTIFULLY NARRATED. GREAT SPEAKER’S VOICE😊😊
They didn’t disappear they assimilated. Mystery solved!
I think it’s crazy that nobody thinks the word croatoan could of been Croatian? One letter different c’mon either they went to Croatia or the croatians came there and killed or enslaved it’s right there!!!
Zach is literally a perfect fit w/ History Channel – he makes all the programs so much more engaging
My ancestors came to Roanoke in 1624. On a ship called Marmaduke
This is more like it! Reminds me of the old History channel. Hope it’s is a turning point, and that they return to quality content that kept me watching.
I really liked this, great detailis! If the colonists joined the tribe, why didn’t their leader ever go there. It sounds like he knew the tribe was there…
I believe they lived with the native american people, and thrived.
I think they tried to escape to the mainland but their rafts sank
Some of my ansestors help found James town
No cemetery or burial ground on the Island? What did they do with their dead? If they blended in with the natives on the Island & had families with them as the evidence & DNA from Mr.Brown suggests there should be some evidence of that somewhere – they found a garbage dump & it’s still there to this day….
they tried to get to Chesapeake Bay by land. They were slaughtered. end of story.
Roanoke colony could have made boats and just left. Something could have happened with the boats, and they could have all drowned. My theory makes more sense.
I’m doing this for a school project but it’s so interesting
We are right here and they do not even know it. Lol.
What if they got hit by a major hurricane on the East Coast and they decided to go further inland to get away from hurricanes ?. Maybe their structures and themselves were wiped out by a major hurricane. I would believe they moved on and left a clue for the guys coming from England with supplies
This is like a movie
Can’t they find someone to interview about what happened?
It never ceases to amaze me that even to this day, when white people go missing, it’s a big deal. Like, we are still concerned about this case but not annihilation of native Indians who were wiped out in this area and across America. I guess because we know what happened to them.
There is no enclosure left.
Awesome news. I wonder if the Y chromosomes were compared to any Brown family members that exist today to help validate this new update?
Until a later miscegenation can be disproved by any of the Brown’s (it cannot), Mr. Brown’s DNA, even if mixed with Native American DNA, cannot be assumed to come from the lost colony’s survivors. Dating the moment of mixing of DNA is just not that precise.
The English accusing the natives of stealing and killing them while literally stealing their land is something else
Wouldn’t White know the correct location of the settlement. During the three-year period it is possible that the colonists would have established an outpost. Significantly, unlike other 16th century colonies., the Roanoke settlement was meant to be a permanent settlement and not an attempt to find gold and eventual return to Europe. If Roanoke been so inhospitable, there would have been deaths during the three-year period, especially among women and children. There does not, however, seem to be any graves at Roanoke or Site X.
The original Spock hosted the older "In Search Of"… and now the new Spock is hosting the newer "In Search Of".
We know what happened they killed them thats a no brianer 😂
