I met a stonemason who split a stone that revealed two halves of a perfectly preserved fossilized fish. He was supplying the stone for the fireplace he was building at the time and could have kept them but let the lady of the house talk him into put them into her fireplace. He said he found out later on how much a museum would have paid for them and it made him sick.

  9. Matthew Barry on April 18, 2023 at 3:27 pm

I mean they found dinosaur nests and remains in Antarctica as well as fossilized remains of tropical plants under all the snow and ice. That basically implies that Antarctica was once in a much hotter climate. Not in the location it is today

`Some museum in England`? Did he not ask the name of the museum ? Or the name of the guy who took it ?

  12. Alaskan GoldClaims on April 18, 2023 at 3:30 pm

Sandia Cave NM was full of Smiladon and the oldest humans found . Sandia Man was 25,000 years old. The establishment hated Frank hibbens finds. Mega fauna in Alaska were also hunted by man and surely not hunted to extinction by the beringia crossers.

Here’s a word of advice for an archaeologists or paleontologist, or a geologist says oh that’s a really cool specimen can I see that or oh that’s just trash. Let me throw it away for you. Don’t let them take because you will never see it again. I don’t say this because what this guy said on this video. But because my brother and I had the exact same thing happened to us . Guy said it was nothing and he would throw it away for us and we were like no. we both saw the king of the hill episode when Hank took Native American artifacts to the college professor. And he told Hank oh there nothing I’ll throw it away for you. And then he comes with his college students and start digging up his yard.

  22. wargriffin5 on April 18, 2023 at 3:45 pm

This man handed over an artifact to THE BRITISH and expected to see it again. That’s not even a conspiracy, that’s just dumb. 😂

Alaska and Yukon are covered with enormous quantities of the fossilized remains of a wide variety of mammals. What Robert Service calls Much is the pulverized remains of large numbers of mammals. Immanuel Velikhovsky discussed this phenomenon believing that this was evidence of a near collision of the Planet Earth with a comet. If anyone reading this message would like to know what was said about this 70 years ago then start with Ages in Chaos by Immanuel Velikhovsky

1980’s, Chesapeake bay. My family are watermen. Mostly claming at the time. A giant conveyor belt hangs off side of the boat and digs many feet into the bottom of the bay. Everyone finds amazing arrowheads, bones, and tons of cool stuff. My grandfather keeps it all in one collection. Word of his downright amazing collection gets around. A guy from Washington college in chestertown, md. Comes to see it all. He asks if he can borrow everything to catalog and study. He does. Soon after he won’t return any calls. My grandfather gets in touch with the college. The guy denied ever meeting my grandfather or borrowing anything from him. The collection was gone in the wind

That’s literally the main reason why museums and all those places have a bad rap and people this they are terrible people I’m general it’s so sad tbh

  33. Jeffrey Harris on April 18, 2023 at 4:00 pm

Dude should contact Interpol and Scotland Yard. A lot of relics, artifacts, and art are being repatriated to the countries or owners from which they were taken.

  34. TopFix on April 18, 2023 at 4:00 pm

So this guy just happens to be the luckiest man in the world to be the one to stumble upon two rare skulls, and also the unluckiest man in the world to have both taken away. Or, he’s full of shit like the rest of them on podcasts like these. I go latter.

I find this subject to be so incredibly fascinating, but that episode was unwatchable. That dude is the definition pompous.

  40. mpetersen6 on April 18, 2023 at 4:06 pm

They acknowledge that no Saber Tooth Tiger skulls found in Alaska. What they forgot to say is no approved researcher has found one.

A sabertooth cats saber found in Lacanto Florda at Sabertooth cave in the 1930s was also claimed to have been stolen or lost decades ago from the AMNH. These specimens are so rare that several have disappeared from major museum collections likely from theft or malfeasance.

  48. WholeWheat KittyFeet on April 18, 2023 at 4:14 pm

Yeah even as a teenager I never trusted academics. I knee through my parents tha5 worked with them that they were all liars and pick pockets. Mom used to put away our antiquies when they came by for that same reason.
