Juneau, Alaska by Land, Sea & Sky! (Must-Visit Highlights & Attractions in Alaska's capital city)

Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime as I explore the must-visit highlights, attractions and adventure experiences of stunning Juneau, Alaska. Don’t let the small size of this city fool you – Alaska’s capital city is literally jam-packed with some of the most incredible tours & sightseeing excursions in the country. Join me in this video as I bring you along to experience everything Juneau has to offer, by land, sea, and sky!

I began my tour of Juneau’s Highlights with the scenic Tracy Arm Fjord small boat cruise with True Alaskan Tours, which offers some of the most jaw-dropping scenery in North America. Plying our way between towering rock faces on either side of the boat through iceberg-filled azure waters, we eventually reached the South Sawyer Glacier – one of the most impressive rivers of ice on the continent. From there, I headed for a helicopter ride with Coastal Helicopters up to the Mendenhall-Herbert Pass, where I enjoyed my first time dog-sledding on a mountaintop, followed by a helicopter landing on a remote part of the glacier, where I was able to hike and explore the deep crevasses that surrounded me. After, it was time for some whale watching on the waters of the Lynn Canal with Juneau Lighthouse Tours, where I spotted literally dozens of orcas and humpback whales frolicking in the subarctic waters. From there, I tried my hand at some halibut fishing with 49th Fathom Charters, and was lucky enough to reel in three HUGE halibut and a codfish, before heading back to dry land. I ended my exploration of Juneau’s Highlights with a ride up the Goldbelt Tram to the summit of Mount Roberts, where I learned about Alaska Native culture, and took a hike along a totem-lined forest trail with excellent views of the Pacific waters below, and then descended the mountain to check out the city’s iconic Tahku whale sculpture – one of the finest pieces of urban art in the United States. All in all, this was one of my TOP FIVE travel experiences of my life, and I am endlessly amazed with the number of things to do in Juneau, Alaska, and you’ll want to spend at least one week here to maximize your adventure. As they say in Juneau: Stay Longer, Adventure More.
