Lost Lode Gold Found, Rogue River Watershed In Southern Oregon (non-ESH Gold Prospecting)
Join me on this adventure while I pan, sluice and dredge a small creek for lost lode gold. Located on this creek is a working underground lode mine. It has been mined for nearly a century. In the early days of this operation the miners were using a gold recovery table after crushing the ore. It was a prototype and imported from Germany. For one reason or another the miners lost a recoverable amount of gold off that table and it went into the settling ponds. Some of tailings made its way into the creek and concentrated in the gravels. It’s this gold that I’m trying to recover. I expect this gold to be difficult to capture do to its size and flat shape. I also experience some grief running my own equipment, my highbanker dredge to be specific. I’m testing a new to me pump and a 1983 motor that I recently refurbished. I’ll also prospect for placer gold above the lode claim to see what kind of placer gold is in the creek.

AWESOME STUFF MAN!!! THAT ORE LOOKED JUICYYYYY
My parents lived in Selma and then in Shady Cove. Anderson creek ran through the back of my parents house. The creek flows over a large deposit of black shale. I’ve spent more than a few hours prospecting up and down the creek, with decent success. After removing the top layer of sand and silt, the shale was exposed. In between the fractures in the shale were small pickers and a few decent little nuggets. I’ve also panned parts of the Illinois River with success. Good video dude. Keep it going. Peace on the path.
Right on, new sub 👌👊
Cool area. The history around there must be something else.
Good try!! Nice area!!🙏
Great video man looks like you had some classic Oregon winter weather!

Hey that’s prospecting man! I enjoyed the heck out of this, 👍🏽
It’s surprising you didn’t find a lot more gold. Isn’t the Rogue river loaded with gold? Were you digging at the head waters or a small tributary?
I got a 2.5 set up like yours. But my highbanker is a raptor flare. You outta try making like a reverse riffle in the beginning of your sluice seem like it doesn’t matter to much on flow it will still trap a pile of fine gold and it makes for easy testing all ya gotta do is clean out 1 lil piece of miners moss. I’m sure you’ve seen it/them b4 but if not I can send ya a few pics
Sukses selalu bro, bayak sekali emas di daerah anda kita san selalu mencari emas semoga ada hasil yang memuasan
I’d like to give it a try
Nice job!!
This looks like the Mule Creek area
I’d like to try that. My friend and I are interested
It all adds up and like you said you learn things even if the gold doesn’t add up much on that trip. Keep up your great work mate ⛏️🤠🇦🇺
Sad these are the dieing days of earths most majestic lands…be cool to see it renditioned for ocns and phenols…
How you doing like the show. Just want to let you know that I run my sluice between 9°and 9.4°. give that a try see if you can collect more gold that way. I live in Michigan so the gold is pretty fine here. As they say fly poop lol
