Metal Detecting at a 1682 Home in Pennsylvania
Metal Detecting at a 1682 Home in Pennsylvania
For this video, I was awake for 36 hours and after an overnight flight, of course decided to take the metal detector out to a historic area in Pennsylvania looking for treasure from the 1600’s and 1700’s.

In the 1700’s that aluminum would have been worth something:)
Hi Shane. Cool vid. I’m surprised the Penn house does not have a chain link surrounding it. People can walk right up to it. Lucky no graffiti on it. Also, nice to hear you fished around there growing up. I like to travel up to Canada and Wisconsin for Muskie, Pike, Bass and Walleye. I grew up on Lake Erie, east of Toledo, and loved all the great Perch and Walleye fishing. I’ve always known that there are good Muskie lakes and rivers in PA, but for some reason or another I’ve never fished there. Since that’s your old stomping grounds, would have been funny if you dug up something that you lost as a kid. Hope you are safe and hunkering down at home. Travel is a little sketchy at the moment. About all we can do right now is let the scientists and doctors get a handle on things. Best to you man!
1:50 I was thinking this exact same thing. lol But in all sincerity, this was one of my favorite videos. You’re a good guy, Shane.
youre so close to 100000 subs
You should do a video with Aquachigger!
Do you think they got together and talked about oatmeal?
Shane thanks for the video.
Once again that’s not Philly it’s Chester
Yo I live in PA!
Very nice Shane, we have been enjoying your videos & travels for some time now. A trip down memory lane is always Priceless. I’ll taken my son to go do those across the country. We’re still traveling around search in the United States for a little treasure here and there and sticking with Boy Scout practice of "Leave no Trace", Thank you for being a positive example & doing your part. 👍
Great video! NEW SUB HERE! Im in PA as well… fellow detectorist and PA def has the goods!
Sweet! You found one of Mr. T’s earrings! 😉👍
Ayyyy my area
Fun Also nice to hear about you when you were little being there with your dad sweet
Great finds well done
That’s not the original location of the pusey house in Upland it was moved
Nice video. Horrendous background noise though.
You’ll normally find fiber lines along railroads. They are piggying backing on the right of way of the railroad since it’s a lot easier to deal with the railroad for access then thousands of individual landowners. When I was keeping a chunk of the Internet up, we always paid attention to news reports of derailments as it usually meant a line was taken out when the railcars dug up the ground around the tracks.
Odd complaint, but I hate flannel. I refuse to donate to anybody wearing flannel. Nothing wrong with a sweater or t-shirt.
happy to find people close by me. i live outside of New Hope
Very nice
I LOVE these types of videos! Thank you☺️
Awesome video man! I just got an MXT recently as a gift I really like that Minelab of yours if I hadn’t gotten my MXT I was going to buy that. Hopefully you can make it over to Oregon and Washington this year and we can meet up to go get some gold and swing the detectors and try to find some silver in Portland
AN historic
if a soda can is 10" down any precolonial item, like a coin, would be near unfindable. earlier Dutch settlers used cliffs near the Delaware to dig a cave into until the could build a wood house. later around Penns time those cave homes were used as saloons and brothels until the city ordered them destroyed.
I wish I had old places near me I cold could metal detecting
