Metal Detecting SEVEN North Dakota Abandoned Homes

Metal Detecting SEVEN North Dakota Abandoned Homes

Metal detecting in north dakota – Thanks to Jared for inviting me to his family’s property that includes thousands of acres and 20 turn of the century abandoned properties! The “Box full of Guns and Gold” that was suppose to be dug up the following day was not done, because the exact location is not known, but it’s narrowed down to a 10 acre area. Maybe next time we go metal detecting!

I guess the next time I threaten someone with a rusty spoon, I know where to get one. LOL! Great video and hunt! The wood from the grain silo would be awesome for a rebuild with all the writing on it!!

  15. Harrison Rohm on August 8, 2022 at 6:08 pm

Little container.. volcanizing patch for inner tube. Red rubber was attached to outside the inside had a slow burning like gun powder. The patch was clamped and the rubber melted to the boot or inner tube

Seems like everybody is headed to the Dakotas lately. My brother and sister-n-law been camping in WI., MN., North and Sourth Dakota the past two weeks. Musky Lake Sayner WI. ; Sauk Centre MN. ; Washburn (on the Missouri river), Medora ND. ; Deadwood, Custer, Wall, Yankton SD.; Albert Lee MN. Beautiful country up there.

7:23 it looks like a toy wagon from the 20’s or 30’s. Didnt they use lead paint in old toys.
12:36 that green glass looks almost like uranium glass. It glows really cool under uv light.
17:15 that house looks like it was beautiful in its prime.

  20. Brice Podoll on August 8, 2022 at 6:10 pm

  21. WOLVES_X2012 on August 8, 2022 at 6:10 pm

@klesh in your opinion what do you think is the best metal detectors for both gold prospecting/coin hunting together (leaning towards coins) and one for gold prospecting only? 🤔
    also love your videos 😄

  22. Steven Langevin on August 8, 2022 at 6:11 pm

no coin? thats a shame 🙁

  23. Watos Mate on August 8, 2022 at 6:13 pm

You’d love bottle hunting klesh, specially under floor boards and in creeks & old dumps ect… Nothing beats a hand blown bottle display, specially in your origin got awesome blob tops and tons of history, specially fellow YouTubers that’d happily take you out there

One way gear is for starting model “T” or other hand crank start cars, it goes on the ENGINE end of the hand crank..when engine starts the gear kicks the hand crank out so your arm stays intact,,,,the key with multiple teeth is not that old, I have a 23 “T” and the key is very simple,,,can show you, in Colorado Springs,,thx

  33. Smithsgold on August 8, 2022 at 6:27 pm

  38. Scottish girl outdoors on August 8, 2022 at 6:34 pm

Love the drone footage 😁 looks like a cool place.

  39. Jeb Stuart on August 8, 2022 at 6:35 pm

I have been in there. I had wore the ground a good deal crawling out of the hole and dragging out so many things. So I fixed that as good as I could from the outside by scattering dust on the place, which covered up the smoothness and the sawdust. Then I fixed the piece of log back into its place, and put two rocks under it and one against it to hold it there, for it was bent up at that place and didn’t quite touch ground. If you stood four or five foot away and didn’t know it was sawed, you wouldn’t never notice it; and besides, this was the back of the cabin, and it warn’t likely anybody would go fooling around there.

  40. Scott Xerri on August 8, 2022 at 6:35 pm

Did he ever find the Y2k box?

  41. Tammy Chesney on August 8, 2022 at 6:38 pm

Awesome! Im Going to ND from Arkansas first of June. Ill be looking for rustic architecture and cool landscapes.

  42. I S on August 8, 2022 at 6:41 pm

I live in ND and wish I knew more places to go detect at. I have no idea where to go or who to ask permission lol. I don’t think it’s very popular here. Couldn’t find others who like detecting out here

  43. wils Production on August 8, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Is that near in Logan final location scene made?

  44. Frost Jackal on August 8, 2022 at 6:45 pm

Lol! The amount of disdain in your voice when you said "modern Schlitz can" at 6:07 precisely echos my own sentiments.

  45. george warlick on August 8, 2022 at 6:45 pm

The little "container" looks like the metal part of an old patch that was used to patch inner tubes around the fortys into the fiftys

  46. Sean Parchim on August 8, 2022 at 6:46 pm

I was looking at that key and thinking it looks just like my 1964 chevy pickup key and now I know and maybe that narrows the year down a bit closer,my cereal number is #9095 GM not to many digits off(312) crazy

  47. Cooper Winter on August 8, 2022 at 6:47 pm

Love the old cans! Thank you for the video!

  48. Scott Anderson on August 8, 2022 at 6:47 pm

In that first haul of stuff you guys found, the large rimmed bullet casing looks like it could be 7.62x54r used in a Russian Mosin Nagant

  49. Diggun on August 8, 2022 at 6:48 pm

Nice video! Thanks for sharing! Love to see what my neighbors to the north are finding in the Dakotas!

  50. Ann-Maree Putt on August 8, 2022 at 6:50 pm

Nice hunting. I think your key belongs to a Chevy. General Motors in Australia is General Motors Holden. General Motors in the states is Chevrolet.
I have a 1959 Holden that the key looks very similar.
