Today – I’m covering the Missing Person’s case of Melissa Estoy – from the island of O’ahu in Hawai’i.
Melissa Estoy – Missing as of January 16, 2018. She was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with red letters stating: Surf Instructor and a black hoodie. She was seen in the area of Zablan Beach in Nanakuli. On January 18th, 2018 – her 1991 Gold Honda Accord was located at the beach under suspicious circumstances. Her keys were in the ignition, her belongings in the car & windows were down.
Melissa Estoy was 21 years old at the time of her disappearance
Melissa goes by the nickname: POCH
Melissa is of Hawaiian/Filipino descent
She is 5′ – 2″ tall
120 lbs
Melissa had long brownish/Black hair with highlights at the time of her disappearance
She has brown eyes and a Star tattoo on her right wrist

It’s disturbing how many people go missing in Hawai’i. The vast majority of human trafficking cases are young women of Hawaiian descent. It’s reprehensible that typically the cases of missing people that actually get coverage in Hawai’i are for people who are of caucasian or Asian descent, despite those demographics having much lower statistics of disappearances.
